  5. Hello I am an LPN in NJ I am looking to move to NC in August I am trying to decide between Fayetteville and Raleigh any helpful suggestions or opinions would very much be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  6. Congratulations I pray you find a some soon and you love it.
  7. I will be a LPN a year this Sept. My school made it mandatory for us to get the green light from ATI. I graduated in July didn't get to sit for my boards till the 1st of Sept got my license number a week later. My 1st job was in home care with a peds patient and the pay was $22. Good luck with your NCLEX, go in there confident and pray and you will do great. Have faith in your ability as a nurse and you will do fine.

I have worked a few cases through the staffing agency since I have graduated. I started taking classes for my RN but stopped cause I needed a job 1st and foremost. The curriculum is what you make of it and put into it. It is fast paced but when you finish you can pass your nclex and get a job but it is based on your thirst and desire. They give you the tools it is truly how you use them. I will say a lot people from my graduating class has been successful and others haven't not because of the school but because of themselves. I hope this was helpful.

I PASSED, I am Sooo happy and relieved.
  11. Today I sat for my state boards and it was the hardest test I have ever took in my whole nursing experience. I am very confident when it comes to my test taking and my knowledge, but today I am not going to lie I felt inadequate at some point during this test. Part of it was because the machine did not shut down at 85 questions and other parts I just felt overwhelmed I guess. I did a 190 questions. The computer shut off and I felt like the interrogation was over. I was mentally and emotionally drained. I came home and got on my laptop, of coorifice the first thing I do is the Pearson Vue trick and when the error message popped up. I breathed a sigh of relief cause all my highs and lows of nursing school, ATI, and Kaplan paid off in the end. I just needed to tell this story thanks for reading. If I can give any advice is when it keeps going pass 85 and that pit of despair starts to raise push it back down, stay focus, say a prayer, and continue to do your best.
  12. Thank you I appreciate that and CONGRATS
  13. Oh okay what school do you go to? Well good luck with your studies.
  14. Thank you Chaisaci, I also got 93% with the ATI assessment. My game plan at this point since I have to do it is focus and finish ATI, then once I get the green light focus on Kaplan. We did have a two class with Kaplan as well which was beneficial the main thing I remember is if I can only do one thing and leave what would it be. Not gonna lie I was not focused during the decision tree but I am going to make an appt to sit with the teacher that does the Kaplan and go over what I didn't pay attention to before. Thanks for your advice, and congrats on your licensure.
  15. Studying, did your school make that an requirement?
  16. CONGRATS?, thank you Sooo muck for your input. They gave us both things but they are making it seem like we have to get the green light from ATI for them to sign off for us to take the boards. Which I think is crazy cause all of ATI does not match the material that we got from them. All I know is I am ready to sit and take my boards I have faith that I will pass on the 1st try. Once again congrats.
  17. I am currently using ATI to prepare for my nclex, but I am not a fan of the test or the process to get a green light. Does anyone have any recommendations about the material make more interesting?
  18. Am looking into going online for my BSN, I am looking at enrolling with the college network who works with Indiana University. Was hoping someone may have insight to the program?
  19. People who graduated before me and got their license who work for them enjoy it. Personally I am not sure if I want to start with home care but if push comes to shove I will. The woman who came to my school told me to give her a call when I get my license. They have openings.
  20. Stay focused and be flexible is the best advice I can give, I attend the Edison Campus and I am in my final quarter. It has been a bumpy road but a well worth it one. Be prepared to do a lot of studying on your own and make a couple of friends. My study buddies are great and very encouraging. A great at home support system never hurt either (lol). It has been a long year but a great and rewarding one. I have met excellent friends and future nurses and had great experiences in class and clinical. Good luck to you on your journey.
  21. Good luck!!! I will say a prayer.
  22. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
  23. I currently enrolled in a LPN program in NJ and I will be graduated in the next 5 months (Sooooo excited). I would like to know peoples interpretation of the nclex-pn who has recently took it.
  24. I have already started the Nursing program at Lincoln Tech, I am proud to say I am in my 3rd quarter and it is great. It is not easy but you learn a lot. I have made some life long friends and I have learned a lot since I have started. I can not wait for my graduation day and to take my nclex so I can join the nursing field. This sounds corny but it is true, you get out what you put in. So if you come in knowing that you are a nurse and willing to do whatever it takes then you will do just fine.
