Can Someone Shed Some Light...

I am taking the NET in less than a month. I called and the subjects will be Math, Reading, & Science. I was able to find a website that offered practice tests, quizzes, and study info for Math & kind of reading, but was wondering if there were any websites that would help with the science portion?

ALSO- what NET Study Guide book would you recommend I purchase?

Try looking in Barnes and Noble or Borders, they have a lot of prctice test books for the NET I think Kaplan makes one

I took the NET last month for an RN program that I'll be starting in January. The science portion involved very, very basic high school level topics such as osmosis, cellular division, and so forth.

Get a copy of ERI's NET test review/prep book. It's excellent preparation for the test they themselves own. It's all I used to prepare and I did fine.

Most schools that I have heard of do not use the Science score to determine acceptance eligibility, which is why you are having trouble finding practice questions. If you get the ERI study guide book... you will not find study questions for that section. Check with the school you would like to apply to and see if they use the Science score. Most use math, reading, and composite, and if that is the case I recommend studying the reading the most, because for me it was the hardest part.

Good luck

THIS

Has the SAME framework as the NET. Took mine last year after reviewing this book each day for an hour or two for two weeks. Made a 92% on test and haven't been in school for 17 years.

GOOD LUCK

new york regents prep has high school level information on what people should have learned in various science classes. links to them should be at the bottom of the web page. they have been redesigning the website over the last year.
