Can we have a punching bag in the break room?

I thought putting a punching bag in the breakroom would be a good for stress.

Did you ever have a moment where you just wanted to explode?

You know what I mean...

  • The patient who loves to push your buttons.
  • The boss who doesn't know you exists.
  • The co-worker who keeps calling off.
  • The love-life you no longer have.

We all have been there.

A punching bag in the break room ... I think it's a great idea.

I'd love to, but I can't find any docs who are willing to volunteer.

This would literally stop the aggressiveness at the workplace, or at least one would hope

Hey, they never ask nurses if they want to be punching bags.

The patients' family members never volunteer either...Nor administrators...People from other departments that want nursing to do their jobs...The out of state person that's always doing just below the speed limit in the left lane when I'm trying to get to work on time...So many people that would be perfect and NONE of them will volunteer! :p

Wait...there is a break room?????

Wait...I thought nurses were the hospital punching bags??? ;)

A great idea but our break room does not have enough room. They would never do it because one could possibly hurt their hand with punching even with gloves. Maybe a padded room where one gets a few minutes alone time? And that room has to be sound proof. That is my suggestion.

Anybody else remember those blow-up, roly-poly silly clowns that were rock 'em, sock 'em???

As kids, we had one. Even my folks would punch it at times.

I had one of those in my dorm room during nursing school. Great stress relieverĀ
