It sounds like you might have a slight problem with your comprehension. Try going to your campus learning lab. You can get assistance for reading, comprehension, writing, mathematics etc. I always spend time in the lab when I have a class that requires you to submit essays or research papers. I also find that they can help with reading speeds and comprehension and it is completely free.

Try to get one of the NCLEX review books. Maybe Saunders. They are usually broke down by subject with a little reivew on each topic and then test questions. They also give you the rationale on why each answer is right or wrong. Very helpful.

I was going to recommend the Saunders book - it's very comprehensive - there's also a set of flash cards in a yellow box that I found very useful. You can pull a stack of them and take them everywhere with you.

You also want to look into Prentice Hall Nursing with Review and Rationales. These books come in every nursing course subjects. Good for studying for nursing classes and NCLEX review.

Yes I reviewed with these books most of the time before I took a test. Good info also the ATI review book they give you in school. I notice my school likes to use the information from the ATI review books too.
I still have my ATI books. They may come in handy down the line.
