Hello All I just applied to GCU. I will be finishing my pre-reqs spring of 2014 and applying to hopefully start the GCU Tucson program Fall 2014. I am happy to see some of your grades it makes me feel better about my 3.3. I just wanted to ask how long it took to know if you got accepted to the school initially. If yall have any tips for going through the process, I would love if you shared LOL Also, congrats to ALL OF YOU!!! Im excited just being able to apply to schools now. :-)[/quote']

I'm not sure how the Tucson deadlines work, but here in Phx the deadline for spring application was September 15th & we found out by Oct 15th.

The process, for me at least, seemed more complicated and stressed me out a little but in hindsight wasn't really that much. Do your pre reqs, turn in your official transcripts, take the TEAS test, apply for a fingerprint clearance card (you can do that now although technically you just need to have it pending to apply), & otherwise just sign the enrollment agreement/intent to attend type things that they email you.

Best of luck to you :)

Congrats to all that got into the program!!! Thank you for posting your entrance GPAs and TEAS scores, it makes me motivated that I will get in first try for the Fall 2014 program. Good luck everyone!!!!:)

Thank you, Lauren!! And you are very welcome! We all know how stressful it can be applying to the nursing program, so it's nice to have any questions answered by others who have gone through the same experience! You will get in!!! :)

Hope this helps give some insight for future people interested in applying. Btw just out of curiosity, if anyone from the other cohorts sees this is your schedule for level one the same?

Hey Andi -

Thanks for posting the SHC schedule. I haven't heard anything yet about the Boswell schedule - did you just email your nursing adviser for the schedule?

No our site coordinator at SHC campus sent the email out. If you don't get it by end of the day tomorrow, I'd give a call directly to Boswell campus. Our location said they so schedules 8 weeks in advance so that would've been tomorrow so we actually received them two days early (on Thurs)

I got in at main campus. We got at email a couple weeks ago with a survey as to which schedule we would like. We had a choice between two. I am trying to remember....

Choice A you go Monday-Thursday

Monday and Wednesday- 9-11,1-3

Tuesday and Thursday- 8-10,1-4

Choice B you go everyday

Monday 8-10, 1-3

Tuesday 8-10, 1-3

Wednesday 1-3

Thursday 8-11, 1-3

Friday 8-10

Same classes as SCH

I think that's what you were asking Andiisme...

So, my GCU account appears to have been updated with my class schedule for Boswell starting January. I haven't received an official email about it, but it looks like my cohort's schedule is as follows:

Mon/Wed: NSG 301 (Nursing Foundations) 9-11, and NSG 303 (Therapeutic Communication & Informatics) 1-3.

Tues: NSG 307 (Pharmacology) 9-12 and NSG 305 (Health Assessment) 1-4

Thurs: NSG 307 9-12

Friday: No Class

For any other Boswell-ites who want to check their schedule, I found this information on my Calendar for January under the Profile option in my GCU account. I know there were two cohorts of ~20 that started this Fall and each cohort had a slightly different schedule, so I am assuming this will be the case for Spring.

Meanwhile I am busy finishing up the last of the health/immunization stuff. How is everyone else doing? I am way excited for orientation and to get our booklist!
