California's 2010 New Grad RN Program

2010 is fast approaching so I think there must be a new thread for 2010 new grad program. I hope the moderators will allow me to post this new thread. I'm currently working at Monrovia Memorial Hospital which is 40 miles away from our apt. We live here in Playa del Rey, near the LAX and unfortunately I don't drive yet. I'm looking for any hospitals that offers new grad program for next year. I'm not even sure if I'm still qualified for a new grad program because it will be my 8th month this Jan. working at Monrovia Memorial. Anyone could share any info..Thanks..

I applied at Glendale Memorial but haven't gotten an update. Anyone apply at UC Irvine? I can't find info to contact the nurse recruiter there :/

I applied at both Glendale and UC Irivne. UC Irvine said that they had over 240 applicants. I don't know if that was for one position or the 4-5 positions they had posted.

cane*nurse did you try calling HR? The first time I called they told me what stage my resume was at. You could hear her clicking away at the computer.

I talked to the Clinical Educator today, they said they received over 240 applications for 4 ED positions. They are interviewing in September.

I feel like I'm SO screwed at this point. I work at El Camino Hospital in L&D and I've been with the hospital for over 5 years but they are laying off 195 people, including me, so I doubt they will hire any new nurses. I graduated back in May with my BSN and I have yet to get an interview or even a call back or anything yet so this is getting quite discouraging..
