California's 2010 New Grad RN Program

2010 is fast approaching so I think there must be a new thread for 2010 new grad program. I hope the moderators will allow me to post this new thread. I'm currently working at Monrovia Memorial Hospital which is 40 miles away from our apt. We live here in Playa del Rey, near the LAX and unfortunately I don't drive yet. I'm looking for any hospitals that offers new grad program for next year. I'm not even sure if I'm still qualified for a new grad program because it will be my 8th month this Jan. working at Monrovia Memorial. Anyone could share any info..Thanks..

The VA in San Diego does hire new grads, but right now they are in a hiring freeze. They haven't hired in awhile, and don't have any plans to in the near future. Sorry! You can still apply and they'll hold your application for I think 6months. You can also ask the recruiter if they've changed their mind and know when they may hire again. Good luck!

I called UCSD about it yesterday. Give it a week. They had 1200 applications for 10-15 spots. They send out a questionnaire in the order of when you applied.

I ran across Glendale last night and applied. I checked this morning and the position has been closed. I am guessing I applied right at the deadline. I didnt see any thing posted about that hospital;)

ooh wow, you were lucky! i am so surprised there are no postings about it on this website.. i wonder when they will begin calling for interviews and how many positions are available.
