  1. Can anyone who has done clinicals or lives in the area give some background on specialities for each facility or some info on the culture of the facilities.
  2. I know Salem had a huge group of new grads hired end of July. I think there were 36 critical care openings ( Ed,neuro trauma, cvcu, icu, imcu) as well as a large group in med/surg and mother baby. I think there was also a batch back in feb so they defiantly have had opening Good Luck
  3. My status changed today to "application in review" for LPCH so looks like they should make calls soon
  4. Are you a new grad? Internal? precept on the unit? I thought they were not extending offers until the 20th from the timeline I received. Anyone else here anything?
  5. It's too early to give up hope. Only sounds like hemp/onco has made calls lots left! Good luck everyone
  6. Has anyone heard anything regarding the crticayl care training? If you have interviewed how did it go? Was it behavioral or scenarios? Also any information on stregths or weeknesses of the program and facility?
  7. Has anyone got a call? Is anyone on here internal or precept at Loma Linda ?
  8. Little: don't give up I live in the SF BayArea and was still told I was a "very strong" candidate. My only real peds experience has been as a volunteer but hope its enough.
  9. Lovepeacelove:I live in northern California near SF and was told priority went to those living near by so I feel lucky to have even gotten this far
  10. I thought I would update everyone on what I learned from talking with HR today. I only resubmitted my documents last Friday and received a call today to see if I would be interested in switching my top choice. I was told they had already forwarded "hundreds" of applications to NICU, PICU and peds acute and that there were significantly fewer who applied to intermediate care and cardiac ICU. After talking to her for about 45mins about the program and the units that had more opportunity I decided cardiac ICU was the best fit for me. She did mention NICU probably had 4 openings and 2 were most likely already planned for who would get. Cardiac ICU and intermediate had 2 open postions each and I think she was going to forward around 60 applicants for the cardiac unit. Stickyrunner from my conversation it was clear no where near everyone was getting forwarded so Im pretty sure the email only went out to those who are going to get looked at by a manager. She also mentioned they began calls on Monday but had many more to make and some units had not begun she said to expect something very soon (wasnt more specific though lol). It also sounded like living close and having something tying you to peds definatley increased your odds of getting forwarded. Good Luck Everyone !
  11. I am wondering if anyone has selected units yet? I though we would make them during the initial interview but I was never asked. Does anyone know how many people moved on to the next round? Finally since I choose a phone interview I missed a few names if anyone wrote them all down with department could you please send me a pm with the info. Good Luck everyone
  12. What did everyone select as their units of choice? What type of unit did you precept on?
  13. How long is it taking to receive your packet? I'm still waiting
