California's 2010 New Grad RN Program

2010 is fast approaching so I think there must be a new thread for 2010 new grad program. I hope the moderators will allow me to post this new thread. I'm currently working at Monrovia Memorial Hospital which is 40 miles away from our apt. We live here in Playa del Rey, near the LAX and unfortunately I don't drive yet. I'm looking for any hospitals that offers new grad program for next year. I'm not even sure if I'm still qualified for a new grad program because it will be my 8th month this Jan. working at Monrovia Memorial. Anyone could share any info..Thanks..

Woot! Got a call a few days ago from Fountain Valley Regional and got my very first interview after graduating from Nursing School! I am so excited... and now a little nervous. Does anyone know how many New Grads they are accepting? He said there are going to be 150 interviews.

Congrats! I also got a call a few days ago from Fountain Valley, and it will be my first too! I had to call him back and leave a message though, I'm hoping to hear back from him tomorrow. Do you know what unit you are interviewing for? Was it one that you said you were interested in on your initial message? When is your interview?

I know they were setting up interviews for the first 150 calls I called around 2pm what time did you two call? If u don't mind me asking

Not at all. I called around 8am on June 1st, when did you call? I think he called me back around 10 am on Thursday morning and left a message for me to call back, and I called back a couple of hours later and left a voicemail, still waiting to hear back.

Did anyone apply to Torrance Memorial's Versant program? The applications are closed now but they opened in mid-May.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get a call yet, just think of it as you are meant to be somewhere else instead :) I'm still waiting for him to call me back again since I missed his call and had to call back and leave a message, so I hope he still calls back! Thank you :) I hope so too! I graduate next week.

crossingfingers10 & jyaa: For Fountain Valley, he called me Wednesday morning last week but I missed it on the last ring and I was freaking out! So I called back immediately and left a message. Then he called me back later that afternoon and said he'd be calling back Friday for interviews... but I didn't hear back from him :[
