California Eligibility

]Ok.. it's been a year already and still no mail..no news from my california eligibility application..and it's driving me crazy...:no:

Is there a site or something were i can go to check if my eligibility was granted or denied or what..

If I am still waiting for something or nothing..

Can you guys tell me how long you have waited for your eligibility application be granted.?. any story from ]from you ]guys from CA or ]those who applied California eligibility]].. just to keep me sane..tnx sooo much!:nurse:

I kinda have the same problem, do you guys know how may weeks or how long will it take for you to receive your eligibility packet from the board?Im here in California...thanks in advance!

i had the same problem ... i live here in california, but no time and money to go to the philippines just to get my transcript ... so i asked one of my old room mate in college to do it for me, i just gave him authorization letters and i signed the forms that needed to be signed ... as you know, schools/universities take their time in processng your request, so after a month, my friend said it's all ready and that the school mailed the transcript to CA BON already, he even paid more for the faster mailing service ... that was october 2008 ... so at the same time he told me that my transcript is on it's way, i submitted my application for to the CA BON because i thought it's better if they arrive almost at the same time ... and so after a few days, i got back the little card board confirming that the CA BON recieved my application and that they are just waiting for my transcript from my school ... and so i waited, because i know snail mail in the philippines are really SNAILS ... and also i know that it takes 5-6months to process the eligibility ... even if i try to call the CA BON they will always tell you to wait, so i try not to call because they said the more calls they get, the less time they have to process applications ...

but the scary part is, january came and my friend told me that there are rumors that some post office in the philippines lost the mails or they hold the mails, i dunno something like that ... and so i immediately called the CA BON, and i was on hold forever ... i gave them my file number ... and they said they have not received my transcript yet ... i was so furious ... because i was calm and patient, giving them their time to process the application, because i thought they already got my transcript coz 3months passed already ... and so i called my friend again, and asked him to re-send my transcript ... and after a month wait again, he said that the school resend it already ... and that time i asked him to mail me the receipt ... so that i know that when i receive his mail, the CA BON will also receive my transcript ... and it worked ... i got his letter in my mailbox and the next day i called the CA BON and they said they just got my transcript ... and after a week, they mailed mt my eligibilty ...

try to call the CA BON ... do you have your file number with you? ... i know it cost a lot to call USA from there, and they will put you on hold for a long time ... but if you have a relative here maybe they can call for you ... im not sure though because they might ask for your file# and other informations ...

when you submitted your application to the board, did you put a stamp on the little card board and put your address on it? if you did, did you receive a mail from them saying that they received your application, and there's a checklist of requirements that you submitted? if you have that letter, on the upper right hand corner, it will show your file# ... try to call the CA boards, just be very patient, i suggest call after lunch, and not on a monday ... and once you get an operator give them your file number and ask them if they have all the requirements they need, because sometimes they are missing some requirements that you forgot to submit, or maybe still waiting for your school to send them your credentials ... but it's always better to know what they are missing so you can fix it right away ... like maybe ask your school when they mailed the transcript or if they did already ... just call them anyways, just to be sure ... so that you don't waste the $75 fee and the expensive livescan fingerprint fee ...

H MICHELLE02 yea i have submitted my requirements October 08 but then the Board said I was lacking the microbiology unit on my transcript so i requested again and my school just sent it last month and i had a tracking number from fed ex and says there its been delivered 2 weeks ago , and im still waiting and hoping i could get it sooner but yea ive been meaning to call the BON, I guess i will need to do that. Thank you for your advice, have you scheduled your exam yet?when are you planning to take?Godbless

I don't have my file name..how will you have you file name..will the CA BON mail it to you? I really have no idea about this things..It's the review center who processed my application..I thought with their help my application will arrive faster..I visit the review center once in a while to get news regarding my application n why its taking too long for it to arrive..unfortunately all they can say is that "they to don't have any idea why n that they follow it up"..same things i hear when i visit them...:thnkg:

Another thing that has been bothering me is the rumors about the philippines post office..that maybe just maybe they lost my mails or they hold the mails(hopefully not!:scrying:).

I would say the review center is doing something as it should not take this long. You may want to consider contacting the BRN yourself

yeah i agree ... i mean, i don't doubt my friend, but i honestly think that my friend whom i asked to go to our school, i think he just got busy last october and not really send it ... because when i panic last january, i told him i wanted receipts ... then it was sent on time ... and the funny thing is he did not ask me for more money, i would assume he would ask me money because it cost money to request for the transcript at school and also the shipping fee ... but when he "resend" in january he was very apologetic and said that he will resend it and not ask for extra money ... i mean, im still grateful that he helped me, i just wish he could have told me the truth that he got busy not really sent it in october ...

maybe try to go to that review center, it should only take 6months ... because if it's a year already, that is really weird, and you might lose your non refundable $75 registration fee ... i remember the first time i applied for nclex, i was in the philippines, and i did it with my friends, right after college we fixed our application ... we graduated nov2005 and passed the local boards dec2005 ... i think january or february2006 we mailed our application, we went to the post office in quezon city ... and april2006 my mom asked me to come back here in US, and around june or july i received my eligibility and took the nclex august 2006 ... unfortunately, i did not pass ... i got really depressed ... i even went back to philippines the day after i found out i failed, because im a daddy's girl, and i will feel better with my dad ... stayed there for a couple of months ... came back in US before xmas2006 ... and ever since i just did not have the courage to take it again ... until now, because the economy is really down and the only good paying job is nursing ... and i want to help my husband with the bills and rent ... and right now, he is also afraid of getting laid off from work, so i really want to pass ... i need to pass ...

i got my eligibility 2nd week of february ... planning to take nclex end of april ... i honestly feel im gona fail, i feel like i forgot everything i've learned, coz i graduated nov2005 ... but im following suzzane's plan right now, and she gives me hope and confidence, and also my husband is very supportive.
