]Ok.. it's been a year already and still no mail..no news from my california eligibility application..and it's driving me crazy...
Is there a site or something were i can go to check if my eligibility was granted or denied or what..
If I am still waiting for something or nothing..
Can you guys tell me how long you have waited for your eligibility application be granted.?. any story from ]from you ]guys from CA or ]those who applied California eligibility]].. just to keep me sane..tnx sooo much!

re the NLE issue, how can we be assured they're really considering our application despite the lack of a local license if they dont tell us so? because honestly, im already contemplating on applying for a license in ohio. i just didn't want to spend another $500-800 (cgfns ces, application fee, biometrics, etc) knowing that cali is processing my application and might issue the eligibility w/in the month or so.
For most it is when they have final review before the license is issued. If Ca is your end destination to work applying to another state may make no difference as generally you still have to meet requirements for foreign trained nurse. Seeing as you have already applied I would just wait and see what they say
hi bachelorgurl, i also graduated on march 2008 and i completed my application for the CA NCLEX-RN last january 2009. i also made a letter explaining why i didn't take the NLE. i got my ATT last february, and now i'm waiting for my license. i had no problems during the application so i think the NLE is not a factor for the delay if you applied in california.
i had the same problem ... i live here in california, but no time and money to go to the philippines just to get my transcript ... so i asked one of my old room mate in college to do it for me, i just gave him authorization letters and i signed the forms that needed to be signed ... as you know, schools/universities take their time in processng your request, so after a month, my friend said it's all ready and that the school mailed the transcript to CA BON already, he even paid more for the faster mailing service ... that was october 2008 ... so at the same time he told me that my transcript is on it's way, i submitted my application for to the CA BON because i thought it's better if they arrive almost at the same time ... and so after a few days, i got back the little card board confirming that the CA BON recieved my application and that they are just waiting for my transcript from my school ... and so i waited, because i know snail mail in the philippines are really SNAILS ... and also i know that it takes 5-6months to process the eligibility ... even if i try to call the CA BON they will always tell you to wait, so i try not to call because they said the more calls they get, the less time they have to process applications ...
but the scary part is, january came and my friend told me that there are rumors that some post office in the philippines lost the mails or they hold the mails, i dunno something like that ... and so i immediately called the CA BON, and i was on hold forever ... i gave them my file number ... and they said they have not received my transcript yet ... i was so furious ... because i was calm and patient, giving them their time to process the application, because i thought they already got my transcript coz 3months passed already ... and so i called my friend again, and asked him to re-send my transcript ... and after a month wait again, he said that the school resend it already ... and that time i asked him to mail me the receipt ... so that i know that when i receive his mail, the CA BON will also receive my transcript ... and it worked ... i got his letter in my mailbox and the next day i called the CA BON and they said they just got my transcript ... and after a week, they mailed mt my eligibilty ...
try to call the CA BON ... do you have your file number with you? ... i know it cost a lot to call USA from there, and they will put you on hold for a long time ... but if you have a relative here maybe they can call for you ... im not sure though because they might ask for your file# and other informations ...

I had the same prob what u had regarding of the transcripts and other docs that the school needed to send to the BON. And I was planning to send another transcripts. Is it okay to send another one or does it complicate the process of the application?
