hi nursemandee83, thanks for replying to my post. i haven't taken the test yet (im scheduled to take it next week). So it's not a multiple choice type of test? when do you get the results? What happens if you fail the test? Is it true that they only use the results to guide the preceptors in planning your orientation? You mentioned that you had to retake the test. was the retest done on the same day? did they discuss the answers with the group before requiring them to retest? any study materials you can suggest? i'd really appreciate a feedback thru my email.. Anyone here who was hired as an RN at the Cleveland Clinic? I was told that they give an exam to evaluate the competencies of new hirees. Can you give me an idea what i should review on to pass this test? What happens if you fail the exam? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

ei babygurl, did you get your results already? i was just wondering how long it takes ca bon to release the results. i took the test on march 1 and i still haven't received a letter from them.. i don't want to do the pvt nor check the ca bon website.. the loooonngg wait is killing me.

hi.. i failed the nclex too and i don't know how to start reviewing again.. i'm still very depressed coz i only received the results 2 days ago. i bought the saunders q&a book and hope to receive it by the 25th. im now doing the practice questions of the saunders comprehensive review cd.. smn2009, may i ask you to pm me too about the site for the question trainer?? plss??? thanks! inspired26, may i ask for the complete title and author of the exam cram w/ cd so i can try to borrow it from our library? thanks! and to everyone who are preparing for the retake, good luck! i hope and pray that we ace the exam on our next try.. :)

Im new in our area and havent had the chance to meet people and make friends. Im stuck at home that's why i feel so down.. Got no one to talk to. Ohh.. I wish i could get the results soon.. hi everyone! i took the nclex 2 days ago (aug 26). i'm very depressed because i think i did bad coz i got 265 questions.. the long wait for the release of the test results is driving me nuts (cali takes abt 4-6 wks to mail the results).. i can't stand another day at home not doing anything but watch tv, surf the net, eat and sleep..i'm not in the mood to start reviewing again, just in case i have to retake the nclex. i tried to draft a resume yesterday but didn't quite finish it because i didn't know if i should include my (10 yr) work experience - which is totally not related to nursing .. my first course is behavioral science and i have worked for 10 yrs in the human resources field. i got my degree in nursing on march 2008. i didnt take the NLE. so, i can't apply for any nursing job. i'd like to do some volunteer work but i don't know where i can apply. i don't even know if they'd be willing to consider me, given my qualifications (or lack thereof).. i'd like to be productive and keep my mind off the test results pressure.. also, i'd like to build an impressive resume by being able to include some nursing related work experience. time flies so fast (im 37 already) and being unemployed for more than a year after my graduation is a bit frustrating .. do you have any suggestions?? thanks for reading! god bless..

lookup2sky, congratulations!!! :) i do hope i can do well as you did. i dont mind answering til the last 260++ question, the most important thing is i pass.. thanks for your reminders.. ill try to be as calm and focused as i can.. i have to hit the books now. just got my saunders and im kinda worried i might not be able to finish the book and practice cd before my exam on aug 26..

thanks aleen23, i saw a link for the nclex 3500 already. i tried the pretest already and didn't do good.. got only 57%.. id like to finish all the practice questions before my exam on aug 26.. my anxiety level is at the max too.. i do hope we both pass the nclex.. good luck and god bless! btw, i just ordered saunders last week and will be receiving my copy on the 11th.. i hope to finish the book before the exam. pressure!!!

hi.. may i ask how effective the kaplan Qbank is? i bought the kaplan complete course on may 08 and my access to qbank expired on mar 09. i didn't finish the QT and wasnt able to start on the qbank coz i kept on delaying studying since i didnt have my att yet. i only received my att on may 09. now, im thinking about buying another 3 months access to qbank for $300. my exam is sched on aug 09.
