Just some advice...I would try to get the book list and see if you can get your books cheaper on Amazon. You can also join Calhoun's previous nursing facebook pages and see if anyone wants to sell their books. I would make sure that they are the correct editions/titles/authors for your semester though.

We all have tried to get the book list, but until orientation it's at a stand still. I'm going to try Chegg.com/ amazon and add those up. If it's under the bundle prices at Textbook Brokers then I'm going to buy online.

I just started collecting stuff for school. I have the lab coat and shoes and just ordered a stethoscope, pen lights, and watch. I start all the medical stuff tomorrow, CPR class Saturday. I'm still trying to find out if we need the book codes or not...some people have said that the instructors gave them the codes they needed, while others said the codes that came with the books were what they used. If we don't need the codes that come with the books, I'm going to buy some of them used. I still need to get uniforms, but I'm going to wait until the nursing club sale. We'll have a couple of weeks before we're required to have them, so if I can't find some there I'll have time to get some elsewhere.

All of this and collecting school supplies and clothes for my kids...busy and expensive!

I wonder if you can go to the secretary for the book info. I say this, because this is where I went to get this info from my school and I was able to get the list. I do have some friends in nursing school at Calhoun, so I can also ask them. I'll let y'all know what I find out.

Bookstore just emailed me this. I am trying to get a breakdown of the books in the bundles.. $920. Good grief...

Course 102=$571.02

Course 103=in above bundle

Course 104=$226.00 + $123.00

Total=$920.02

Also there is a handbook you will need that is approx. and additional $35-40.

We have a 10% tax rate

I did a lot of research:

Calhoun individual pricing = 1084

Calhoun Bundle Pricing. = 920 (+/-)

Amazon = 659

(you have to make sure the books are new if you need an access code for the ones that require codes, if you click on the right side of page where it says More Buying Choices, it brings up more sites that you can sort by New or Used)
