I found most of the books on Amazon. I've heard that there will be a textbook bundle offered at Orientation. Scrubs and Lab coat are Landau.

Thank goodness they accept ASHI CPR that's what the fire dept does and it's only $15. Wrist watch can be any kind but military is a huge help and needs to be a water proof band since our hands will be in water a lot

Hey guys,

As far as books go, is there an official list out yet or are we just winging it at this point as far as knowing what to look for? I am waiting around but I know someone who recently graduated that has some books that I might need. I am afraid to buy anything yet but so anxious to get things rolling.

You might be able to pick the classes from the bookstore list and see some of the required books. I am going to wait to buy books to use my loan to pay for them since I think some need codes and are e-books. Everything else I am starting to buy now. My hubby ordered my stethoscope yesterday and I'll probably get the rest of the smaller things in the next week or two. Do they carry our school patches at Parkway Scrubs or any of the other shops? Just wondering if I need to buy patches at Calhoun to take with me to buy uniforms.

The only thing I've bought so far has been the lab coat from a former student. I'm planning on waiting until the Nursing Club scrub sale, and will see what the textbook bundle price looks like before buying any. Since I'm PTE, I figure having the e-book codes will be useful.

I have no idea if they carry the patches anywhere other than the bookstore.

Patches are only at bookstore and they are 8 bucks a piece. As far as checking the bookstore for the classes to get which books, well they don't have Fall semester up yet. I hate having to wait till last minute. Seems they should have done orientation a bit earlier

I've never heard of the nursing club? What is this?

I'm not sure of all the details for the nursing club but I think you get the option to join during your first semester. How many uniforms should we buy? I am doing PTE so I'm thinking two should be enough. Im trying to find out how the hours are billed for classes also. Anyone know for sure if it's by credit hours?

It is credit hour. Clinicals = tacked on credit hours. Look at the curriculum, we have more credits attached to the nursing classes with clinicals. I asked financial aid this morning too.

So for those with all prerequisites done your looking at under 2K for first semester (credit wise).

I have calculated the first semester at approximately 2k. This is for people with all pre-reqs done. Not sure if you have to buy all books then or not.
