Hi, everyone!
Hoping to get a conversation going with other students who are applying to the Spring 2017 San Marcos cohort at Cal State; I'm from out of state and hoping to get some more information on how applications are going for all of you! I'm taking the TEAS soon and finishing up pre-reqs this upcoming quarter, my application will be in by Late July with updated transcripts sent in mid- August! Hopefully that won't hurt my chances of getting in to this cohort, any thoughts? Thanks!!
Congratulations! If you all don't mind, what were your points?
I received an evaluation and surprisingly it was 36 points. So I am wondering if they are sending admissions letters out in batches every week.
To answer Tbiomajor's question, I think you should definitely contact your advisor and check the student center to see if you have anything to update, so they can change your spring status to "complete application." I know if you decline one quarter they move you up to the next quarter, but I don't know if you get a guaranteed admission.

i got my Acceptance email this morning!!! I am beyond excited!!!
However, also worried about cheap housing options and tuition.
How's everyone handling that? Are there any scholarships we can apply to? 55K debt sounds like a whole lot when you still owe 50K from your last 2 schools lol.
congrats to all again, so proud to have joined the team!
Wow, I can't believe people are admitted so quickly to Spring 2017 cohort when the deadline isn't even past yet (Aug 12 I think?) That is so great! But also makes me a little nervous. I just completed my application yesterday because there was a lot of confusion transferring my UC courses to fulfill the CSU requirements. Luckily my advisor was very responsive and quickly got all (4) courses approved and completed on my behalf via the CAS submission process. I believe I originally submitted my paper applicaiion through mail in the middle of June, got my first evaluation about 4 weeks later. The process of getting all my courses to appropriately transfer through was about 10 days. For the admitted students- Would you mind stating what your stats were??
I've been told i got 30 points.
My pre-nursing core was a little low (3.31GPA), but my Last 60 units were 3.5GPA, and I got a 92.7% on my TEAS score. I am very hopeful I'll gain admission. If not I will postpone until next year, as I do not want to travel to Temecula (Live in Chula Vista), San Marcos is a far enough drive for me as it is!!
BEST OF LUCK TO ALL!! :)
Hi everyone!
I've was recently accepted into the spring ABSN cohort 27 group at San Marcos. Congrats to those who have been accepted as well! I won't be there during the actual spring semester, since I took the first three lecture courses already (which means I probably won't meet any of you until the summer semester). Is anybody else in the same boat?
