Hi Kendleh!

I was accepted into the Fall 2016 cohort. However, I declined admission and asked my advisor if I could have my application considered for Spring 2017 (I live about 45 minutes south of San Marcos, so the Temecula campus is way too far for me). She pushed my application to Spring 2017 and told me that they start the selection process for the Spring in "late summer." So if you have all of your documents in by August you should be fine. Hi! I'm also applying to the Spring 2017 cohort. I'm taking the last few pre-requisites this summer session at a CC and hoping to finish my app before the August priority deadline. I'm also taking the TEAS next month and trying to do some studying before. Thank you @mrssotoa for all the information you provided! Hope that they will consider my app even though I'm still not officially done with my classes when I turn in my app.

I applied for Fall 2016 on April and got evaluation point on June 13. My advisor said my application had been moved to Spring 2017, and I should get the letter by September 30 if I get accepted. :cool:

Hi jasmin12! I'm just wondering if you already completed all your prereqs when you applied on April? I'm just wondering because a few of my courses will still be in progress when I apply before the August deadline. Do you think that they will just push back my application to the next term? Thank you!

Hi teal1230,

I completed all courses when I applied. I think they will evaluate your gpa after you complete those courses.

That's great, thank you so much for sharing, Mrssotoa! I'm trying to get into the San Marcos campus as well, because I'll be living south of there and I don't want to have to commute to Temecula either. How long after you submitted your application did they respond to you? Was it through email? Also, what was the initial evaluation of your application like?

I'm trying to figure out the deadline for acceptance and what the next steps are after that, if there is something I have to fly in for (like the background check or submitting anything) or what exactly happens.

Thats exactly what I'm doing! I'm starting my final quarter of prerequisites on July 5th, but the quarter isn't over till late August, so ill have to send them an additional transcript past the date of the deadline. Hopefully that won't negatively affect the application. I'm studying for my TEAS test right now because I'm taking that in the next few days before my quarter begins! Keep us posted with how everything is going for you! Good luck! :)

Hi Kendleh,

I submitted my application on January 16, received my evaluation on February 12, and received my acceptance letter to the Fall 2016 cohort on April 14 (which I declined). All correspondence was via email. My overall points for my evaluation was 34 (Pre-nursing core GPA 3.66, TEAS 83.3%, last 60 units 3.60).

I know their website shows a priority deadline but it is possible that they send acceptances out till even the first day of the semester to fill all seats that were declined by other applicants. As for the process after you accept admission, I'm not really sure. I've read that there is an orientation to attend before the start of the semester but I have no idea when that takes place.

Congratulations to you! I just got accepted yesterday too. I have been trying to make a payment and it asks Parent Pin and Password. Can you tell me how you make a payment. Thanks.
