Hi, everyone!

Hoping to get a conversation going with other students who are applying to the Spring 2017 San Marcos cohort at Cal State; I'm from out of state and hoping to get some more information on how applications are going for all of you! I'm taking the TEAS soon and finishing up pre-reqs this upcoming quarter, my application will be in by Late July with updated transcripts sent in mid- August! Hopefully that won't hurt my chances of getting in to this cohort, any thoughts? Thanks!!

I was in the same boat, but with a science course. I was not able to apply for Spring, but I moved my application over to summer 2017. Did you do this too?? I just finally completed my app. Hoping to hear from people applying for summer!

Also, there is a Facebook group for accepted nursing students for the summer 2017 cohort that is linked on that thread for anyone who is interested on getting more info!

Hey Niikii!! Thanks for your reply and sorry for the late response!! Congrats on getting accepted ^___^ I have applied for Fall 2017, but I only racked up 25 points.. I feel pretty discouraged, but hoping for the best.

Were the first three lecture courses online? Wondering if I will have to move there the first semester or not?!

It depends which ones you need to take still. For my cohort that started Summer 17 at the Temecula Campus, ANTH 301 and PHIL 345 were online, while the Nutrition class had to meet one day out of the week. It could be different for your cohort, though.

Hi Niki,

I know you made these posts years ago, but I am freaking out re the point system too!!! I have similar scores as you. I'm still waiting to get everything evaluated. So far, it's not looking too good! Apparently AP classes don't count for anything ? Pre nursing core is weighed so heavily! I got an 86.7% on the TEAS. Should I retake it and send it to them?
