imtoonice You should call them!! I remember you saying that you submitted everything on time, I am sure if you call them and remind them, they can expedite your evaluation. kendleh ...yay!!! a facebook page would be great!!! It would be much easier to communicate through that :) PS thanks in advance for the insider info from the previous cohort!!! I have to admit, I don't even know my email for my facebook anymore..it is always logged on to my computer! Can you add me by name? j6doll Congrats!!!!! My portal did the same exact thing, I think there is just a glitch going on. I sent them an email, if I do not hear back, I need to call as well! When submitting the deposit, do we select the extended learning option, or the CSUSM option? I asked them this in my email, but I was just curious if you knew. Once your portal changes, you will see an accept or decline button, and then it will bring you to a screen where you have to choose!

Kendleh Thanks for all the great info!!! I posted back earlier but looks like it never went through. I must admit, I am really nervous I wont get in for the Summer cohort. I was not able to get my file completed until January 2nd. I had two classes left to finish!!! I am just hoping there is enough room.

ellme- She did an entry level MSN and has just struggled a lot to find work because she does not have much work experience.So she walked away with an MSN, but has less experience than most who have their BSN. She recommended the entry level MSN to someone who has had a lot of experience to add to their resume before looking for jobs after graduation. Also, she walked away as a Clinical Nurse Leader (she said many entry level MSN programs lead to CNL...I'm not sure the details of this!) But she learned along the way that she would have loved to become a neonatal NP, this is where her heart was. But now, she spent a lot of money on the MSN and would have to go back for more school to become a neonatal NP. For me, I would like to one day go back for my MSN, but I am unsure of the area just yet because I do not have too much experience. She recommended the BSN ( a little cheaper) and then work for a couple of years and get experience, and if you are lucky, your work may help pay for additional schooling as well! But it really depends on if you know exactly what you would want your focus to be

I was aiming for the San Marcos site as well! I went to USD for my undergrad and would have preferred to stay closer to San Diego and then make the commute to San Marcos, but I will likely live closer to San Marcos and then commute to Temecula if I get in as I believe many clinicals may take place in the San Diego..but I agree, I will just be happy to get accepted! I have applied all over the place, pretty much every program on NursingCas! I just went outside of Cas for CSUSM because I want to stay in San Diego so badly. My back up will be Regis in Denver. I only applied to ABSN routes just because of a friend's advice/avoiding the mistakes she made, but I have heard great things about UCLA's entry level program!

We just have to be confident in our points and hope for the best!!! Also, I read other threads that often times, people found out on their student portal before getting the email! So check your portal often too :)

so anxious!!! it will be hard to wait until February but will be worth it if all goes well:)

Hi!!! nice to meet another person trying for this program! I am sure things have just been crazy with getting the Spring cohort set and ready to go. I am getting very anxious, I was happy to get my evaluation back but now the waiting game is tough! This is my top choice, so I am just hoping for the best. Good luck!

hi there!! I am applying to CSU san marcos ABSN for the summer 2017 term. your experience looks like it will help you a lot for most of the apps. CSUSM only does a point system so they dont ask for resumes sadly, but your scores arent bad!! especially your TEAS! good luck :)

imtoonice- My last transcript arrived January 6th. However, I had most of my application done back in August. I only had two classes left to take. I think they may have had most of my score calculated, and then it was just a minor adjustment for my last two classes that I just finished. Overall, my app was finished on 1/6 and they sent me an evaluation that day. I dont know if I will be considered in the initial pool because I know the priority deadline was 12/2, but i hope i still have a chance. Is your application complete? I know they wont evaluate until all of your classes have been done. let me know, you may want to send them an email
