Cal State East Bay acceptance letters for Fall 2010??

Published

My friend and I applied to the nursing program at Cal State East Bay for Fall 2010 and she received her conditional acceptance package to the nursing program today. I on the other hand have only received an email (last week) requesting transcripts for the nursing department even though my application went in before hers. On the website it says that throughout December they will be emailing out requests for transcripts, not acceptance packages, so I was just wondering if I should be worried. Has anybody else received an acceptance or conditional acceptance package?

I'm so confused!!! I am still waiting for it to say I was accepted into the school. It said provisional admission a few days ago and it still doesn't say they received my transcripts. Now it says "AL Data Verification Needed" in my application status. I figured they were just waiting for my transcripts but I sent three copies and I don't know what this means. I don't want to find out I got into the nursing program but not the school. Any ideas?

Call them! Provisional admission is a good sign, that means you're most likely fine.

The phone lines might have a long hold time, but wait it out and be persistent until they can answer your questions. You can also go to the admissions office (in Warren Hall) and speak to someone in person.

By the way, my "to do list" still says they need my transcripts, and I've been an accepted student for over a year. They don't need my transcripts anymore, I just can't get that to go away.

I'd call the admissions office ASAP and talk to your admissions evaluator. Probably everything is OK but I wouldn't take it for granted nor sit on this another day as the deadline for paperwork is drawing near.

I was in a similar situation. The gal I talked to in admissions was not an evaluator but she confirmed all my paperwork was in. Because of security and privacy she could not confirm that I was accepted but she confirmed that everything was in and everything looked OK and that every indication was there that I was accepted.

She did say that final acceptance letters should be going out sometime around the 1st of the month. Therefore I would make sure you square this up ASAP.

BTW, what campus are you accepted to?

BTW, the admissions person also told me that I should have had an admissions email in my horizon email. I told her I did not. I did tell her that my main page in "mycsueb" had switched over to have a "student center" page and everything was reformatted and looked different. She said that was a good sign and probably indicated that I had been accepted - i.e. that's only reserved for those students who had been accepted into the university.

Mine still says AL data verification needed too. I sent my final transcripts on June 7th which was the earliest I could get them from my current school. I think because they lost administrative positions due to budget cuts everything is just moving a lot more slowly...but it is kind of worrisome because the deadline is July 15th :( . I'm going to call and see if I can get any info. Let me know if you find anything out!

^ my application status says "provisional admission" and it has been like this for almost 2 months and I still can't see my student center...the school received all my transcripts already too. anyone else still have this problem?

I just talked to someone in the admissions office and she said that they still haven't received my transcripts which I sent on June 7th. She said that it takes a long time to get through the system and that they should have them by next week. As long as they are postdated by the 15th she said it is fine.....I'm still concerned though. She also said that "AL Date Verification Needed" just means you are in the final stages of their review.

Wow you guys made me feel so much better. I am going to call tomorrow morning and see if I can talk to someone though. I sent three copies of my transcripts so I should be fine. And I am going to the Hayward campus (even if my little old car can barely make it up the hill.)

Aubs,

I suggest you find out who your evaluator is and contact her/him. She/he will have a definite answer for you.

hi all :)

i have been accepted to the hayward bsn program for fall 2010..i am a bit late in finding this thread but it is so nice to hear from other students! i have read through previous posts and many of my questions have been answered now. i am in the same boat as many of you...i have been provisionally accepted to csueb and am just waiting on my final transcripts to arrive. i just spoke to the admissions department today and they said it would be a good idea to order another set of transcripts to drop off to the campus by the deadline just in case the ones you sent in do not arrive for whatever reason. they do take a while to be processed though.

i was just wondering if there is anyone from the gilroy/morgan hill area that will be commuting to the hayward campus? i am hoping to find someone to carpool with...looking forward to meeting you all!

Congratulations!

Does anyone know if we can accept financial aid awards yet? Because they show on my page and it has a button that says "accept/decline awards" but when I click on it it doesn't let me accept any. I tried emailing the financial aid office but they never get back to me.

Orientation is coming up, but I just wanted to ask here before orientation so I can place my orders online so I know it will arrive before the quarter starts. I was wondering for males, what color scrubs do they have to wear for clinicals, what steths (i'm debating between classic or cardiology) and bp cuffs would be recommended? There was also a mention of a financial aid bookstore voucher of $500, does this include students who can only get loans? Will be looking forward to orientation in 2 weeks!

White scrubs and I am pretty sure everyone is eligible for the voucher as long as you complete the essay.
