Cal State East Bay acceptance letters for Fall 2010??

My friend and I applied to the nursing program at Cal State East Bay for Fall 2010 and she received her conditional acceptance package to the nursing program today. I on the other hand have only received an email (last week) requesting transcripts for the nursing department even though my application went in before hers. On the website it says that throughout December they will be emailing out requests for transcripts, not acceptance packages, so I was just wondering if I should be worried. Has anybody else received an acceptance or conditional acceptance package?

You just go to the collection site (located on your authorization form) and show them the authorization form and they do the rest for you. It is a going to be a urine test. I didn't make an appointment but I had to wait like 30 minutes to get it done.

Do you know if we absolutely have to go to the facility they requested? The one they told me to go to is an hour from where I live, but there is a different Quest Diagnostics facility about 2 minutes from my house. So, I'm just wondering if I can go to that one.

I'm pretty sure it would work at any quest facility but I would give them a call to make sure first. I thought they would have sent you to the closest facility to where you live..weird. lol

"1. Diphtheria-Tetorifice Series plus booster shot every ten years."

Sorry if this is a really dumb question.. does this mean we need the series and a booster shot every ten years, or just a booster shot every ten years?

Is the booster shot just the standard diphtheria+tetorifice shot? I was at Target and I noticed a sign that said they offer diphtheria/tetorifice shots. Is this the same thing?

I know I should just call and ask but I'm lazy... this is the only thing left on my list though, yay!

I think the tetorifice shot is a 1 time deal for every 10 years. When I took it, it was called TDAP?

I just got my TDAP shot this weekend. My doctor said that it will cover the Diphtheria-Tetorifice shot. I dont think we have to get the booster shot. I still don't have my enrollment date when I logged in to MyCUEB. Is anyone having the same problem?

@ Lynn79. I have the same problem as well. I called the school and they told me that they have to "code in" people for fall 10 and It would likely take till early july until you start seeing the student center w/ the registration dates. I guess we just have to wait a little.

Thanks Brighten! I was about to call the school too cause I dont know what's up with that. Anyways, as long as we are in the program, I assume that we are gauranteed a spot in any class? I think I read that somewhere in the CSUEB nursing website. I could be wrong.

Nursing classes are totally reserved for people in the nursing program. As long as everything works out okay with you getting into the University, you'll have a spot in the nursing classes.

It's never been easy to get into CSUEB. The CSU's take only the cream of the crop (high GPA's and TEAS scores) into the nursing programs and EB has one of the heaviest application loads for the nine years I've been paying attention.

Hi everyone,

I'm glad I found this thread. I got my acceptance letter a while ago but just found you all. Are any of you in the same situation that I am? I've been accepted into the nursing program and the Concord Campus but I haven't been accepted into CSUEB yet. They are still waiting for my final transcript from this semester to come out. I can't get access to any class schedules or anything yet. I'm wondering if it is also hampering any financial aid. Any of you in this same situation?

Well I hope what happened to me hasn't happened to you. I"ve been reluctant to post about this because I"m still so upset about it. I sent all my transcripts in to both the nursing school and the CSUEB well ahead of time. I have been checking mycsu for several months, and my application status said incomplete. I called and emailed every week since February, and got no response. I got fed up trying to get ahold of anyone and drove to campus. Only after 2 days of camping out at the admissions office, and refusing to leave until I spoke to an administrator, did I find out what was going on. The university says they never received one of my transcripts (for a class I took over 10 years ago, and doesn't even count towards the nursing major), and says because I have missed the deadline of march 15th for transcripts, that I can't go. I KNOW I sent this transcript, but don't have proof from the other school because I sent one of my own copies of the official transcript. All my hard work, including several classes that only CSUEB required, is for nothing.

Thank goodness I didn't assume that everything was fine with my acceptance at CSUEB, and held onto a spot in a Master's program. However, I really wanted to go to CSUEB. Back up everything you give to this school in writing, and then do it again. The budget crisis has given this school's administration a perfect excuse for any and all mistakes on their part. Good luck to all of you and keep a close watch on your paperwork!

So sorry to hear about this. It seems so unfair... and it is!! I don't trust anything administrators say and get everything in writing and verify everything twice!!

I'm so confused!!! I am still waiting for it to say I was accepted into the school. It said provisional admission a few days ago and it still doesn't say they received my transcripts. Now it says "AL Data Verification Needed" in my application status. I figured they were just waiting for my transcripts but I sent three copies and I don't know what this means. I don't want to find out I got into the nursing program but not the school. Any ideas?
