My friend and I applied to the nursing program at Cal State East Bay for Fall 2010 and she received her conditional acceptance package to the nursing program today. I on the other hand have only received an email (last week) requesting transcripts for the nursing department even though my application went in before hers. On the website it says that throughout December they will be emailing out requests for transcripts, not acceptance packages, so I was just wondering if I should be worried. Has anybody else received an acceptance or conditional acceptance package?

This has me wondering though.. some of the classes say "01SP" or "02SP" - I wonder if that means the SP charge will be for only one or two units of those classes. That would be nice. I guess we will find out.
Hm... you are scaring me. I really hope my loan is going to cover everything. How much would you guys say it costs, not including books or food and things like that, to go to EB each year. I saw it was like 1640 per quarter. I didn't realize they charge you for the units too. My loan is only going to be 7500 a year. Will this cover it?
They are only charging for units this summer.. It hasn't happened before and I don't really think it will happen again. Also, not all summer classes have a per unit charge. The normal quarter fees really are around 1640$ (although I bet they will raise them again this year like they did last year!) I would think that amount would be enough for you...
Is the WST really that easy? I just went through the sample evaluated essay and the essays that passed were ridiculous. How do people write so much in a hour and 15 minutes? And whats the best way to prepare for it? I have to take it this Wednesday and I am a little scared after reading those essays.
I filled up a page and a half. My husband filled up about the same amount. We both passed. No offense to him, but he's not the best writer in the world.. he is good with content but not good with spelling/grammar/punctuation. Just judging from your posts here, it looks like you are articulate enough to pass it with no problems. I don't think there really is a way to prepare for it? I would just not worry and not overthink things. I was able to write a lot because I didn't think too hard about what I was writing. The questions they use are very vague, there is no "right answer", they just want you to pick a side and go with it. People who sit there and worry for too long about writing the perfect answer usually don't write enough. They also give you 15 minutes before the essay to pre-plan and make an outline.
Does anyone know if we would have time for a PE class? I feel better on semesters that I take one but I wasn't sure if I would be able to. I hear they are going to be changing our schedules like crazy. I'm really bad at sticking to my own exercise routines though. Does anyone know if there are any PE classes at East Bay that may have an open schedule? Chabot had a few that you just had to take the orientation and then show up like 2 hours a week whenever you had time. I never did it but I thought maybe that would be the answer to my question if East Bay has it.

Yes, it is absolutely ridiculous, it has made me reconsider taking summer classes too but I think I'm gonna take them anyway :/
