CA (USCIS) Service Center and ther service center updates

Published

Latest update posted on the USCIS proceesing dates was posted last March 20, 2006. Texas is the frontrunner. at Jan 4, 2006, followed by Nebraska at Dec. 17, 2005 and Vermont at Nov. 19 2005. CA still didn't update at Jun 2005. But as we all know we shouldn't rely on this as I remember that Vermont was stuck on Feb 2005 last yr. (and just recently updated it this yr) but there were already reports of petitions being approved for later months.

Is there someone out there or knows someone whose petition got approved already beyond those posted dates? Just to keep everyone really up-to-date, esp. those undegoing CA service center. Any Nov./Dec. applicants approved for CA?

Wow. :uhoh3: What's happening to CA service center??

Is is true that they will be transferring some petitons to other service centers like Texas or will be pooling to other service centers?

I heard from someone that there was already a Nov. petitioner for CA that got approved? Any truth to this?

Now I know what you felt when you gave up on going to US. :o

Yes. they are in the proces of transferring some files to Texas Service Center, which has a January, 2006 date. But not sure how they are deciding which ones are going over.

ive come to the conclusion that the processing times are a load of rubbish!

ive recently been approved, but there are people with the same agency, who filed way before me who re still waiting!

:uhoh3:

just recieved email to say my file has been moved to texas

That's great news. :lol2: Yours was filed june 2005 wasn't it?

Does this mean that CA didn't really moved since june 2005? What have been they doing for 9 months??

This is going to be bad news for those under texas INS esp. those whose intention on going under texas is it's speedy process.

Not that I don't welcome the good news but how will they make it fair to everyone? Is it going to be pooled to each service center so that all petitions will be processed at almost the same speed regardless of jurisdiction?

I think USCIS should give out a bulletin pertaining to this issue. This new developments will certainly change the current dynamics of things but I think generally, it will be good for everyone.

Anna, you'd be going to US afterall.

I'm sure Texas will process it's own applications first...... so i don't think it's going to be bad news for us.

Where as you are going to have to wait some more...

Yes, of course. That is just fair. But I think the current trend would be that every petition (schedule A workers) would be pooled into one so it won't matter anymore what jurisdiction you'd be on but on what date your petition was filled. This is the most logical, and fair thing to do. Hopefully, this is where it's headed.

What do you guys think?

Here is a link to shusterman.com w/c explains why some of the petitons from CA was transferred to Texas. Starting April 1, each service center will be specializing on only some petitons such as all I-140 petitons and related to it will be done in Texas and Nebraska processing center and the H 1B, etc.. on CA and Vermont service center. It will be fully implemented this Sept. and as everyone knows, it already begun starting from the June 05 petitions that gor transferred from CA to Texas.

I just don't know how they will do it. Will they finish all texas and Nebraska petitions 1st before touching the imported ones from CA and Vermont or will they do it accdg. to the date of filling of petition. I'm not even sure if this is good or a bad thing. What are your comments?

unfortunately we are still not going to move to the US, my old recruiter kept the file going as we had paid for it and it will be OK for 12 months once given. Sadly my husband won't change his name but we will be coming over for holidays
