I was recently placed on probation early this year and my RN position is pending approval. Per my probation officer, it will take up to 3 weeks or more. It's almost 3 months and she still states "it will take 3 weeks or more". It's frustrating because I feel like they lost my paperwork or something. Does anyone know how long it typically take for the BRN to approve RN position? I live in CA. Thank you

Coincidentally, just got approved yesterday. just a couple days over 2.5 months. good luck to everyone else still waiting.
Have you started attending Nurse support groups?
You should find a ton of resources regarding jobs there. They are definitely out there.
Dialysis centers and psych units for sure
Look into some of the Tenet hospitals too. They used to be and I believe they still are Probation friendly.
Best of luck to you. I have a lot of Nurse contacts in that area so feel free to send me a private message if you need more hospitals or resources.
SCH hospital too (Culver City)
hmm that's weird. I've had people PM me before from here regarding probation/diversion
OK try [email protected]
College Medical Center in Long Beach is another
Anaheim Regional Medical Center as well

Lots of folks do DaVita, SNFs. I highly recommend hospice as it is not nearly as laborious as SNF and kidney dialysis. Lots of charting and psychosocial stuff with patients and families, but I love it. Your contact has to say that you are allowed to do home health. May I ask what led to your probation?
I got kicked by the patient and I hit him back. Now I get the disciplinary order from BRN that placed me on probation for 3 years. I need to work like RN under supervision( not registry, not traveller, not float pool, not home health, not supervisor ) at least 24 hrs/week for consecutive 6 months. Could you please locate where is the hospital/ company will hire a probationary RN like me ?

yay that is awesome! probation is not so bad once you get used to it.
I was so worried I would never get hired again with this 'mark' on my license. After completing probation I applied for a nursing job (in PA). During the phone interview I told the hiring manager about my story ( probation, what I learned from it, and the fact that I now lead an abstinent life) and her only response was 'congratulations...when can you start....'
I started that job earlier this year and life is good. Best of luck to all
