I was recently placed on probation early this year and my RN position is pending approval. Per my probation officer, it will take up to 3 weeks or more. It's almost 3 months and she still states "it will take 3 weeks or more". It's frustrating because I feel like they lost my paperwork or something. Does anyone know how long it typically take for the BRN to approve RN position? I live in CA. Thank you
Emma is right , Emma has been an angel to me , I am so grateful for her, this process is stressful a bit but doable, I just got so lucky that I had Emma to walk me through the beginning phases and prep me mentally for what was to come, nothing was a surprise by the time my probation started .
Tuatkuta you will be fine and you will find a job , many people might say NO, but someone will say yes, don't give up because of the NOs keep applying .

just call whichever one is in your area . Or multiple . They are really nice .
agreed, all the nurses in the groups are supportive and nice. You'll get through this and the nurse support groups will be your BEST source for information and support
Nurses are in such short demand all over the U.S., especially CA
Be upfront about your story, work hard, self reflect, see the light at the end of the tunnel. I was in such a dark place when I started probation but I emerged from it a better person, and I have NEVER had a problem finding a job
Hello,
From what is mentioned above, Some hospitals such as Anaheim West Medical, St Francis medical center, Centinella medical center. You can also try DaVita, skilled nursing facilities , and surgical centers around your county. You're going to have to try and apply. You are going to get rejected from some places, which is very common.
My advice is just to apply. Go to the interview. Be transparent about what happened that put you on probation and the lessons you learned from it. You have to be humble and have some humility. Then prove that you are a better nurse now.
Remember, being on probation means you don't have much options regarding job opportunities. So you cannot be picky.
I've had multiple rejections. But I'm grateful for what I received. Probation sucks. But you gotta move forward.
Best of luck.

What area are you at North, South, or Central California?
