  1. Yes, I went into people's homes. I did not have that restriction in my stipulated settlement.
  2. Hi! I worked as a home health hospice RN Case Manager while in monitoring. Once I met the 6 month 24 hrs/wk requirement, I switched to working only on the weekends. Completed monitoring and have since switched companies, but I still love and work in hospice. ?
  3. It depends on your stipulated settlement. Both myself and another RN that I met through NSG were allowed to work for home health/hospice while on probation. Neither of us had DUIs, though. We were both being monitored (conditions 1-19) though and had regular urine drug screens. Another person mentioned that probation requires supervision and that another RN has to always be present. That is maximum level supervision and not always the level of supervision that is used. When I began my hospice job, I had to show up in person at the main office and check in with a supervisor. I then had to call them to check in later in the afternoon. My coworker had to do the same, but had an additional daily telephone call/check in. Supervisor also had to go out on visits with us every other week for the first 3 months and then down to monthly for 3 months and then not required. This level of supervision was also eliminated after 6 months. So to answer your question, YES, it is possible to do hospice/home health while on probation. It depends on your stipulated settlement. This was in CA, btw, which has a pretty strict BRN.
  4. Are they referring to the OIG list? Would definitely be a good idea to know whether or not you're on that list, since most institutions deal with Medicare/Medicaid.
  5. @Healer555 Congratulations on being almost done! ???
  6. I completely understand! ❤️
  7. You can definitely get pedicures! Acetone should not be an issue at all since the urine tests screen for ETG specifically. I definitely used acetone intermittently throughout monitoring and had zero issues.
  8. What was it that led to your probation? Have you tried dialysis, hospice, agency positions?
  9. Seeing as these are two totally different licensing agencies and career paths, I wouldn't think one would really affect another in this particular situation; especially since you mentioned not having any criminal background. THAT would be the only thing that I imagine would be a potential issue. I can't imagine why a real estate licensing agency would look up your nursing license.
  10. Probably the best explanation I have ever seen on here. 100% accurate. Well said! ??????????
  11. Honestly, if it was one drink 5 days ago, it may not even produce a positive result. As far as punishment, I'm not sure what they will do, exactly, because I wasn't in a Diversion program, but I had folks in my group that were. I imagine they will add time to your overall program and may have you refrain from working for a short period of time. They will also likely have you write a statement. Don't beat yourself up over this as we all have relapses. Not really sure how I feel about your sponsor "reprimanding" you, either, as if they've never had a slip up. It happens. We are all human. Forgive yourself, learn from this, move on. You are not alone and please reach out if you need someone to vent to or talk to. I will certainly not reprimand you. Ridiculous.
  12. I asked my probation monitor this while on probation and he said if you take vacation, doesn't affect it. I literally took a week off almost every month for 8 months for baby bonding during that time (yep, I got pregnant and gave birth while on probation. Good times. LOL). So yes, like a normal person, you can take vacation and it should not affect anything. I also had 6 weeks of excused drug testing after I gave birth. I didn't have to make up this time, like some people (at the time) were telling me would probably happen.
  13. Yes. But it depends on what led to your probation. I was able to secure a job doing home health hospice while on probation, but I didn't have a DUI nor legal charges (not sure if you have these), and it was allowable in my probation order/contract.
  14. I definitely consumed cake and donuts with icing, etc., during probation and never had an issue. People must be consuming exorbitant amounts.
  15. It depends on your probation stipulation, your monitor, and the NEC that is reviewing and either approving/disproving your job. Like I mentioned before, not everyone is allowed to do home health. As long as your order says you may work home health, it SHOULD be approved, and will likely be something similar to my supervision that I had (supervisor doing a ride along every two weeks, daily check ins at the beginning of my shift, phone call check in during the day, etc).
