FOR CALIFORNIA NCLEX-PN PASSERS: HOW LONG DID YOU WAIT FOR YOUR NAME TO SHOW UP AT THE BVNPT ONLINE LICENSE VERIFICATION?

They said they received my payment on the 6th but still not cleared and still no name on the site, aggrivating! I'll check the site later today and see if it's there.

My name is on there finally yay!!

humm thats weird...I know 3 people who took it on June 9th and one who took it on June 12th and they all have their results already. When I called they said June 15th was mailed out yesterday and today. Then the guy (didnt get a name) told me that they pulled 10 plus employees into the dept to help with the large amount of work and that in one day went from June 15th to July 10th....so somebody in that office is not being upfront. I will let you know when I receive my results. Only time will tell.

This is true....they worked their fannies off and let their work slide for a week.

I was dealing with enforcement.

I sent my paper work on January 4th 2010 , I took the exam on June 12, 2010. I received my pass letter on July 28, and I knew that my was going to be held up, so I called and my case was the first one on her desk, but dont forget, my had been waiting for 7months!

I passed on the second try, so my case was just waiting, to be look at. I just mailed in my 150.00 on August 5, and they just recieved it today.

So for anyone who has to deal with enforcement, be patient.

There are hundreds who continue to fail the exam so the priority are those who pass the exam. Then they work on it. I use to work there, my friend still does.

For those asking how long it takes to get your license (not in enforcement), keep in mind the telephone people give the worst possible scenerios to you. If they tell yo 5-14 days, you call back in 5 days. It is impossible to tell and it's always a good surprise if it's less than the 14 days. If it's the end of the month, the cashiers priorities are license renewals. If it's May/June, tons of school graduate applications to cashier. You just never know the workload of the cashiers. Then it's downloaded to the outsourced printing plant and they are on their own time frame. Lots of variables. For those who are in enforcement right now, remember 6 weeks worth of results went out in 4 days so they are swamped all at once too now. It's a trickle affect. Great everyone got results in 4 days but now the cashiers are going to get all the licensing checks, enforcement has all these pass files all at once, the printing plant now has 10 times more orders than normal. It's just difficult to gauge time frames. Trust me, I've worked for a few boards and there is no one at that board who isn't swamped and doing their work. Now the furloughs are back (or maybe not) and my friend said it's getting back logged again. The only advice I will give is to be pleasant on the phone or in person. I worked up front for awhile on those phones and it gets taxing with people yelling at you all day. It's human tendancy to be extremely helpful to those who are pleasant.

For those of you who just passed, don't forget to get your renewals in EARLY and send it certified so you know they received it. The renewals can go to the main Consumer Affairs office for processing and they will not look for your check among thousands. I can't tell you how many people I saw drive 8 hours or fly in to the Board to pay their renewal on the last day or else they'd lose their job. Good luck and congratulations to those who passed.

Oh, the licensing fee? The Board is self supporting and not paid by taxes. The fee covers the cost of the printing plant/plastic license, mailing out, helping to pay for the enforcement officers who investigate complaints on nurses, etc. Lucky it's now, it's suppose to be going up sometime soon I think she said.

i took pn nclex and ended with 150 qustions. so andbody pass wite these nubers. i took in ca.

so if your in enforcement how long does that take from the time you pass the test to the time they say yes or no regarding the license?

well ive been waiting for enforcement to say yes to my license for almost 3 months now. I cant believe it. All for a speeding ticket that i paid for and went to traffic school for about 2 years ago. This is the only thing on my record. i passed my exam 5months ago. Enforcement has been "reviewing" my ticket for 3 months now.

wow that is crazy. They told me it could take up to 60 days but not 5 months.

someone else said it took 5-6 months to hear anything for a traffic ticket from two years ago. I guess waiting to hear from FBI is what takes the longest. I went on their website and it says 12weeks for them to send the information to the licensing people. I don't know the wait is killing me.

I tried to PVT and got the good pop up. I'm in Ca, and I was wondering, how to I go about paying for the license so that it will show up on the bvnpt website? Do I have to wait till I receive my letter?

Thanks!
