Thanks Ruzz!!! I got a job working full time at a skilled nursing facility here in California. I am going through orientation right now; learning how to reorder meds, doing weekly progress notes, fax md, T.O., Tx and getting familiar with the paperwork. Tommorrow will be my second day in training!!!! :nurse::nurse::nurse: Good luck to all of you that have taken your boards and by the way the Pearson Vue tricked worked 100% for me and even now that I am licensed I checked Pearson Vue website and tryed to reregister and the same good pop up comes up :lol2:

Wooh! that's great your working right too soon. hey, have you got your license right away? if not how? and what are the requirements they will ask you when applying for LVN in your experience.. i have issued the check for license but haven't been deducted to my account yet. So how are you doing so far. :yeah:

hey ruzz, i am doing good...trying my best to catch on!!! today was my 4th day in training and had to do the med pass for all 38 of my residents 8am, 12pm, and 2pm. as for my license i drove up to sacramento on january 13th and payed $150.00 for the initial license fee but have to wait for the the actual license (card) to come in the mail. they do not charge for a temporary license so that is how i am working right now. the temporary license is just a green piece of paper with the boards stamp and temporary license number. it has been 2 weeks since i payed the board $150.00 and have not got my card yet. usually, the board will post your license number on the website a couple of days before you get it in the mail. so check http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/wllqryna$lcev2.startup?p_qte_code=vn&p_qte_pgm_code=9110

i called the boards today to see where my license was because it has been 2 weeks since i payed them, so they ran my social and told me that the money order had just got through the cashier yesterday 1/26 and would take another 5-10 days to get the license in the mail. so it looks like i am going to wait about 3 weeks in total for the actual card.

oh and as for the job, i was already working their as a cna, that's how i got it

Oh i see that's why, you got a temporary license. I'm here at long beach so a little too far for me to drive off to Sacramento for the temporary one. :D Guess have to wait for the initial to be mailed for to me start applying for a job it says that it'll take about 3-4 weeks to processing.

Cool! Looking forward of being lucky as you are for landing a job.

Hopefully you will have better luck finding a job in the Long Beach/Los Angeles area. I live in the Central Valley and there is not a lot of LVN jobs for new grads except for SNF. Lots of Registry jobs but they require 6months or up to 1 year experience and hours are not always guaranteed. I am keeping my options open though and applying to some urgent care clinics and local hospitals.

hey Roxy?! how are you? how's your work so far?

Just got my license last week it took three weeks to actually received the initial license and it will be posted on online license verification just before you'll receive it. So right now trying to land a job, had applied to numerous agencies to nearby town, so lets' see how long it'll take for any calls for working opportunity. They always ask for your experience though w/c the thing that i don't have. and other thing there's no hiring.

So Let's see.

Hey Ruzz I got my license in the mail February 7th which was 25 days after I payed in person up in Sacramento. I hope you land something I know especially down in So Cal they have like a million LVN schools and not enough jobs. That's kind of how it's getting here in Fresno there is at least 5 LVN Schools that I know of that have multiple LVN programs going on at once and barely any jobs. Best of luck, I know someone will call you back...Keep me posted!!! :-)

has anybody got their lvn results faster than 3 weeks in cali....?
