CA BRN -- Still waiting! NCLEX 6/23

Students NCLEX

Published

:uhoh21: Most of my friends who have taken the NCLEX found out their results within 3 buisness days.

One of my classmate who took the exam on 6/20 -- her result did not show up on the CA BRN website until 7/9! 3 weeks later.

I have had several friends approach me to tell me that it is normal for the California BRN to miracously posts results 4 weeks after the NCLEX because they were in the same situation last semester... and told me to hang in there.

As of right now ... I am accepting the fact that I have failed.

You poor thing! All I can say is breath and don't kick yourself in the butt! Hang in there and stay positive. I know this is wierd but when I was trying to get pregnant, I would tell myself after each try, I'm pregnant unless someone tells me otherwise. So you passed unless the BON tells you otherwise.

You will get another chance to take the exam. It's not the end of the worldworldld.

I will keep things crossed you get your results very soon!

I know how you feel. I have taken the exam three times and was disappointed all three times, but I'm keeping my head held high. I know I WILL pass it I have faith in myself.

California IS unpredictable when it comes to when they post stuff. I had a friend who got her results in the mail before she ever saw her name online. I took my test on June 18th and I got the results in the mail about a week ago so it took about three weeks.

Just remember no matter what the outcome you gave it your best and that's all you can do. If you do fail, you can take it again. And like ManyRN2B said it's not the end of the world.

Brandi :)

PS. Keep us posted and good luck!

Do you know for a fact that they have received your transcripts? If not, they will not release your license even if you passed. Just becasue they received some of the transcripts, doens't mean that they received them all.

Have you ever actually phoned the BON in Sacremento?

does anybody have the number to the BRN in California? I should try calling tomorrow if possible.

i dont know if they recieved my transcripts yet. So I dont know. I didn't get a interim permit because my manager said it was not necessary. I start working on the floor next wednesday ... so I dont know whats going to happen now that I am permitless and no idea if i passed or not! gosh this is making me mad! can't they just send the letter to put a closure to this.

They do not do a follow-up on anyone. It is the applicant's responsibility to dollow up themselves. And this is with any BON for any state.

The only difference is that CA will permit a new grad to sit for the exam before they have the final transcripts submitted to them, if their name is on a list that the nurse is expected to graduate. This is the reason that there is no early notification in CA.

Sorry, but I keep stating this until I am blue in the face.....but no one seems to follow up with the BON, they just keep posting about it here. :o

California Board of Nursing, go to the section for license verification.

Are you sure that they have your transcripts as well? If they do not, they do not contact you, and you will continue to wait. Call them.....

Here is the CA BRN website:http://www.rn.ca.gov/

You can find the number there as well.

I just got off the phone with them after trying for 30 minutes. My transcripts are all in and it has been exactly 2 weeks since I took the exam. I was told they are VERY busy and "to give them till end of week and I should see something on the system". I don't know if that was code that I passed or not but you don't show on the system unless you passed. Anyway, I am still waiting..... :uhoh3:

Sorry that you did not pass, but I would concentrate more on preparing and taking the exam when you feel comfortable then setting up a date already.
