CA BRN -- Still waiting! NCLEX 6/23

Published

:uhoh21: Most of my friends who have taken the NCLEX found out their results within 3 buisness days.

One of my classmate who took the exam on 6/20 -- her result did not show up on the CA BRN website until 7/9! 3 weeks later.

I have had several friends approach me to tell me that it is normal for the California BRN to miracously posts results 4 weeks after the NCLEX because they were in the same situation last semester... and told me to hang in there.

As of right now ... I am accepting the fact that I have failed.

I am going to ttalk to my nurse manager tomorrow since I didn't pass because I was at orientation this whole week. She mentioned that she has a tech position that she's interviewing for and has no problem possibly hiring me.

I plan to take the exam September 26 ... thats the date.. as soon as I get my refund from Kaplan and figure out the nursing job siutation .. then I will start studying.

I also found out my classmate who took the exam the day after I took it ... failed at 218 question.

Sorry that you did not pass, but I would concentrate more on preparing and taking the exam when you feel comfortable then setting up a date already.

I am so sorry you did not pass. :o I am in the same boat as you, tested 6/29 with 75 questions and still waiting for results. I really think I failed too. Everyone keeps telling me that 75 questions means I passed but I see that is not true. My stomach is in knots and I can't sleep...ugh this is awful :uhoh21: .

well. results finally came in the mail today .. unfortunately I did not pass with just 75 questions.

Planning to take it on Sep 26.

Sorry to hear that you did not pass NCLEX. I did not pass it the first time either & I had 75 questions. I took Kaplan after failing, & did not pass the second time, & I had all 265 questions. I cannot blame Kaplan though, because I did not study the way that I should have. The third time, I had 75 questions again...so imagine how I was feeling afterwards. I passed this time. For the third time, I used the Saunders CD that comes with the NCLEX review book--3rd edition, I also used Mosby's Review Cards for NCLEX-RN. There are 1170 questions in that set---I counted them all. Here's the ISBN: 0-323-01903-X. I liked them because they were convenient. I also did tests 1-5 on the Kaplan Question trainer CD, & skimmed the Kaplan Coursebook.

If I didn't pass this time, I had a whole new study plan set up. This plan included taking an online course by learningextension.com, since I could not afford another expensive course. Good luck.

OH, let me not forget...I did positive affirmations. I wrote them on my math conversion notecards, programmed them to alarm in my cell phone, etc. My husband made fun of me & thought I was a nerd :). I didn't give a damn--I needed to do whatever I could (legally) do to pass this thing! I had supportive in-laws but I still feel that NOBODY knows the stress that you feel during prep for this test, & waiting for the results!!! NOBODY!!!!!

well. results finally came in the mail today .. unfortunately I did not pass with just 75 questions.

Planning to take it on Sep 26.

Sorry to hear that you didn't pass. I am glad to see that you have re-scheduled. I think it would be easy to not want to take it again, and I think that it shows dedication and preserverance that you went ahead and re-scheduled. Best of luck to you!
