So glad to finally start Nursing school! I've had some trouble on which Littman stethoscope to buy? My college requires Littman. I saw Littman Classic II and Classic III on allheart.com, but don't know which would be good for a first semester student? I was only going to buy the classic II because it was cheaper but there's only a $10-15 difference. Experienced Nursing students, which would you recommend?

I got a Classic II SE. It works just fine for me in clinicals.

My school actually requires the Classic II, so I think that's a solid bet.
BTW, I love your avatar/user name! (Always.)

Used a classic Littman 2 all through nursing school so I think you would be fine with either.
That said if you can afford a classic Littman 3 I would take it in a heart beat. There is a pretty big difference in what you can hear easily.

I purchased a Littman Lightweight SE for school with promises that I would purchase a better one after I graduate. Over a year latter and I still use my Lightweight. Works great, maybe not as fancy but during clinicals things can and sometimes do grow legs and walk away. Just a thought.....
I think I paid less than $40.00 for it on sale from Amazon.

Just got my Classic III this week. The clarity is unbelievable! I also paid the extra $10 or so dollars to have all hearts engrave my name on it.
