BSN program @ UFV September 2014 Intake

Hello,

I have just completed my application for the BSN program at UFV for the September 2014 Intake. I thought I would start this thread for anyone wanting to share their thoughts, ask some questions etc. The deadline is fast approaching! As far as I know interviews take place in March and decisions usually are done in May. I have a sister who is in fourth semester at UFV and is loving it! She found this site very helpful while going through the application process as it tends to be a long one!

megan11 said she spoke with health sciences and the email was supposed to go out either yesterday or today...odds are at least one of us will be invited to the second info session, so chances are it didn't go out yesterday, and should for sure today.

I received an email today telling me to call health sciences and book an interview, has anyone else received the same thing?

I thought we had to go to the info session prior to booking an interview..?

Congrats! kbevans56!! I know in the past I've had friends get interview times even before the info session - That is awesome!!

I'm sure yours is on the way! Its weird how everything is so spread out, must mean there is a lot of applicants..

I really hope that they just hadn't got around to sending out the remaining invites. I am fighting tears!!!

Hi guys! Great posts, glad I finally found this forum because I was just starting to wonder myself about the invites for the info sessions. I have applied to the LPN-BSN access program. This is my first time applying and have acheived the application status "ready for review." Some background on me. I've been an LPN since 2009 working mostly at CGH in acute and residential. I have around 7000 hours seniority. I also run a Nursing Footcare Clinic. Oh and since you were curious I am a guy :-) I have two B+ and an A- for my prerequisites. Don't know how good my chances are to get in especially since there are only about 8 seats a year for LPN access. But one has to hope. Glad you guys let me know that the LPNs have to wait longer for the info session because I had almost given up hope waiting and e-mailed lady M the administrator. Let the waiting begin! Yes I'm super anxious too :-(

Congrats to you kbevans56. That is awesome news. I also received an e-mail from health sciences a couple days ago to call to set up an interview. It is kind of weird because I thought the same thing you did about going to the information session first and then if you get an interview they will contact you and tell you when the interview is. So, does this mean we actually get to pick when we want the interview ? Or, do they just tell us when to show up for the interview when we call them ? I guess we will find out tomorrow.
