Hello,
I have just completed my application for the BSN program at UFV for the September 2014 Intake. I thought I would start this thread for anyone wanting to share their thoughts, ask some questions etc. The deadline is fast approaching! As far as I know interviews take place in March and decisions usually are done in May. I have a sister who is in fourth semester at UFV and is loving it! She found this site very helpful while going through the application process as it tends to be a long one!
It will. Without the reference letter you are not considered a complete applicant. You need to speak with Health Sciences asap to have this corrected. And don't freak out too much! Lol this exact thing happened to me last week, and while it was very frustrating, the people at Health Science are very kind and understanding.
Good they are letting everyone know what they are missing - now that they have sent out all those letters - I'm assuming next (and hopefully soon) are the info session letters! I guess it's all a process.. a long one - but how exciting if we get a spot! The waiting will be all worth it:)
Just a quick update:
i am possibly starting a new job at a dr's office and needed to know what days the info sessions are IN CASE I'm invited. So I calledHealth Sciences and they said they are probably looking at the 18th and 19th but they haven't set that in stone and they have not sent out any invites yet.
Just an FYI :)
Because I live in Chilliwack, although all my classes are in Abby, I spend a lot of time in the chilliwack library. There are always so many current nursing students studying in there, or walking around the campus in their scrubs with their ``student nurse`` name tags. I sit and stare at them with longing...when will I be one of them? Lol dramatic I know, but seriously, they are everywhere!
No mail, no news...

Yes, I spoke with her briefly. I had called health science in a total panic the day she had emailed me about my missing reference letter (FelMay email Health Science asap, same thing happened to me, if your able to somehow prove that you sent it in months ago, you can still be considered for Sept) and M just happened to be in the office so she came on the line to make sure everything had been submitted properly. I have no idea how many applicants there are, or how many they are inviting to info sessions though...just guessing.
