BSN program @ UFV September 2014 Intake

Hello,

I have just completed my application for the BSN program at UFV for the September 2014 Intake. I thought I would start this thread for anyone wanting to share their thoughts, ask some questions etc. The deadline is fast approaching! As far as I know interviews take place in March and decisions usually are done in May. I have a sister who is in fourth semester at UFV and is loving it! She found this site very helpful while going through the application process as it tends to be a long one!

Hey Guys good news! I got in!!! Its just surreal right now. Like its crazy to think that in two years I could be done and working as an RN! Eeeek ^_^ All you guys hang in there. Its rough waiting but there's hope!

CONGRATULATIONS!! Thats amazingly awesome! You must be so excited :) When did you find out?

Neverland, when I click fall 2014, it just goes to a page where I go to apply for the program. There is no summary option. I'm wondering if I'm not set up as an applicant on the website, oh no!

Above where you click Fall 2014 should have the heading "processed applications". Does it say that where you're looking?

I found out on Tuesday and they let me do the pathophysiology early too. So i've just been so busy getting registered and work that I just realized that I hadn't posted it! They made us wait the long weekend. And then it was just like boom and I nearly fell over when I read that e-mail. Of course the official stuff will arrive in the mail in about 2 weeks. And my application still states ready for review by program. But they send me and e-mail and then told me that if i wanted to do the patho there was room for me. So I start that class on monday!

I have been accepted into the UNBC Prince George campus.

However, I am still hoping to get into UFV, least I have a back up plan now!

The wait does seem like it's long, I agree! I've already heard back from TRU for their fall 2014 program so I just have to wait to see if I've gotten into UFV :)

So I feel for you guys. I have a friend who is waiting to hear back to too about getting into the normal 4 year BSN. He says that they told him after May 6th for decisions. Hang in there! You're so close.

Update on me. I've started the pathophysiology and I already have to prepare for the first exam next week! Yikes :-/ But yea I'm just anxious to start the actual program in august. I know 4 LPNs out of 8 that got accepted because they are also in the summer pathophysiology with me. So its been a fun class so far but a lot of material all at once because its done in half the time. Everything seems to be moving so fast right now I can't believe it.
