BSN program @ UFV September 2014 Intake

Published

Hello,

I have just completed my application for the BSN program at UFV for the September 2014 Intake. I thought I would start this thread for anyone wanting to share their thoughts, ask some questions etc. The deadline is fast approaching! As far as I know interviews take place in March and decisions usually are done in May. I have a sister who is in fourth semester at UFV and is loving it! She found this site very helpful while going through the application process as it tends to be a long one!

Hey bkim88 have you heard anything from UFV? I'm hoping for you! Let me know :-) It was nice meeting you at campus.

Thanks for the update, May 6th would be way better than May 16th!!!

yes May 6th would be way better! and congrats kbevans56!

I feel like UFV is the longest wait ever! I heard back from Kwantlen, and I heard that

people have already heard back from TWU, UNBC (assuming UBC too), Kwantlen and TRU.

Maybe all those schools just have a less tedious selection process.

JEEZZZZZZZZ hurry up May 6th-16th!!!!

Thanks gg1234!

I also heard back from Kwantlen and unfortunately I am waitlisted.. It wasn't much of a surprise to me because they only let in 16 applicants in, but I applied anyways just in case (and their application process is super easy so it took no time at all!) But that was why I also applied to UNBC, in case I got rejected everywhere else.

The lady said my interview went really well so I am hoping it is enough to pull through (I only have 100 hrs of volunteer).

I am checking my applicant status everyday even though I know its not going to change for awhile :lol2:

It would be nice to know before May 15th so I can give my notice at the place I am living and start looking for a new place closer to the school I go to.

Would you mind sharing the GPA u applied with for kwantlen?

I had a 93% in Eng 12, Bio 12 86%, Chem 083 A, and Math 11 83%.

Apparently on the letter it says what the lowest GPA was that got accepted but I haven't actually seen it, still on my vacation but will be home tonight to see it.

What was your gpa that you applied with to kwantlen kbevans56? They were accepting such high GPA.

Whoops you already answered my question. I applied with a 92% Gpa for kwantlen and didn't get in. Plus I've done a couple years post secondary and a Care Aide program. The accepting rate for kwantlen was 93%... So close..

Omg omg omg just asked the wonderful receptionist (whose name I cannot mention) if it was true that the decision emails would be going out as early as May 6th and she said that all the decisions should be sent out by the end of this week. Whether or not I get in, I hope all you insanely nice people are selected for a seat! Best of luck to everyone!!! Moment of truth; this is it!!

That's great to hear Meghan, best of luck to you :)

That is the best news ever Meghan111 ! Will we be sent an email or will our status change on our account do you know?

Hoping for the best :)
