BSN program @ UFV September 2014 Intake

Hello,

I have just completed my application for the BSN program at UFV for the September 2014 Intake. I thought I would start this thread for anyone wanting to share their thoughts, ask some questions etc. The deadline is fast approaching! As far as I know interviews take place in March and decisions usually are done in May. I have a sister who is in fourth semester at UFV and is loving it! She found this site very helpful while going through the application process as it tends to be a long one!

Hey there, I just got an email in my ufv account, so maybe you guys have gotten your letters, too! I didn't get into UFV so I'll be going to TRU this fall. Best of luck to you all :-)

Awe thats too bad! But don't worry, you can try again! I got in on my second chance and that seems to be the norm. January is a short four months following September! All the best :)

Congrats to those who got accepted. Meghan 111, I know how you feel. I have a full-time job and a family and it has taken me five years just to get to this point. Yes, five years. Now what ? Try for January or wait until September ? I was hoping to get into the three year fast track program which is only offered in September. Does anyone else know what that nursing class was in the evening that we might be able to take ? I think it was Thursday evenings. I am not sure but it might be a pathophysiology class. What are you going to do now Meghan 111 ? I am not sure what to do now. I am at a loss for words.

kbevan did your email specify whether they put you in the 3 or 4 year program?

No mine did not, it said I would receive more information in a couple weeks.

Did you request the 3 year?

I said I would go either way, but would prefer 3 year. Same, said a acceptance package will come within 2 weeks, so I'm guessing that will have more info :)

I am hoping for the 3 year.. Geez im excited to get the package. So glad the waiting is over!

I know it's a terrible feeling.:( I had a good cry for about an hour but have decided that being sad or resentful will not increase my chances of getting on for January. I also wanted the three year but don't want to wait until next September. So rather than being negative, I will remain positive and optimistic and take all my non nursing electives this fall as well as redo my math 11 right away before tw next deadline. I was surprised and shocked but it is what it is and everything happens for a reason so hopefully my time will be January at the latest!

PS- I am really happy for all of you who have been accepted. You all deserve it!
