Hello,
I have just completed my application for the BSN program at UFV for the September 2014 Intake. I thought I would start this thread for anyone wanting to share their thoughts, ask some questions etc. The deadline is fast approaching! As far as I know interviews take place in March and decisions usually are done in May. I have a sister who is in fourth semester at UFV and is loving it! She found this site very helpful while going through the application process as it tends to be a long one!
Congratulations to all of you that got in, I can just imagine how exciting it must be!
I am looking to apply for Winter 2015 and was hoping to get some advice.
I graduated high school in 2013 with A's in Bio 12, Chem 11, PreCalc 11, and English 12, the required courses.
Plus I have taken first year classes.. Bio 111: B+, Chem 113: B, Eng 105: A-, Chem 114: A-, Math 111: C, Eng 120: B+, Phil 100: A+
Currently I have about 60 hours of volunteering at a senior home.
Can someone please tell me about the chances I could possible have for admission? I want this more than anything.

Hi!! Your grades will most likely get you most points if not full points in the academic section of the application, however, you will want to get more hours in volunteering. Other than that, your chances will be high as long as you have good references and do well on the interview. Good luck!!
I agree with you Meghan 111. We should stay positive. I wanted to let you know that if you already have Math 11, I am pretty sure you do not have to redo it. If you have Math 11 and English 12 you do not have to redo them. The five year expiry is only for Chem 11 and Bio 12. If you go on the frequently asked questions for nursing at ufv on their website, I believe you will find it in there. I am going to go check that now.

I got accepted into the program!! I cried the moment I saw my email.. I've been wanting this for so long! And those of you who didn't get in, keep trying.. That's what I did. You'll always be that much closer to getting in every time you try!
