BSN program @ UFV September 2014 Intake

Published

Hello,

I have just completed my application for the BSN program at UFV for the September 2014 Intake. I thought I would start this thread for anyone wanting to share their thoughts, ask some questions etc. The deadline is fast approaching! As far as I know interviews take place in March and decisions usually are done in May. I have a sister who is in fourth semester at UFV and is loving it! She found this site very helpful while going through the application process as it tends to be a long one!

@Brianne17 yea ! Same thing with me ! I was super prepared for all these questions that they never asked. I think that really threw me off as well. I'm sure you did awesome :) Now we just have to sit back and wait...

@Meghan111 good job on your interview !

Thanks Brody!!!

And Brianne, you looked so happy after yours was done so im

sure you very well:D

I am totally curious..... Who all here is applying to the 3 year? 4year? Both?

*did very well lol

Well I'm LPN access so i will be part of the 3 year fast track option initially bouncing between that and the normal 4 year option. Thats what Mrs. N said during the info session. So we are going to have new classmates all the time it seems :-)

When asked in the interview I said that I originally was shooting for the 3 year, but don't really care too much now. The information session made me realize both will have strong negative and positive points. At this point I just want to get in! So jealous of the LPNs, I would love to know next week!

Well we all find out on my birthday if we get in... Either going to be a really good 20th, or bad haha! I am going for the 4 year program. I just want next month to hurrrrry!

I had my interview on Friday however felt so iffy after it... I am a very outgoing person and I felt like my interview didn't go how I thought it would. I was mainly just asked my questions I answered them and expanded (rambled a bit due to being so nervous haha) and then it was on to the next question. I was just expecting some feedback I guess. At the end she asked if I had any questions and she explained everything about the school and program and clinical to me. It lasted 45 minutes or so. I am probably just looking too far into it because I want to get in so badly. Only can hope for the best!

Don't worry I didn't get feedback either and my interview was only 25-30 minutes. My sisters was only 20 min or so and she got in - hers was quick and to the point and a nice meeting you at the end. So, who knows!! This is my first try and I have friends applying for their second and third times so to get in for me would be a super awesome thing! Fingers crossed for all of us !

Wow I'm so glad most of you felt confident in your interview! I'm so iffy about it..

She said "you didn't blow the interview or anything" after the interview and.. Well it made me feel like I blew it! Lol

I hate this waiting game oh so much

Yes guys I'm starting to feel the pressure now.... eeek, all that work starting to culminate for this week. Will I start school in August or not. LOL. I seriously need to relax a bit I know.
