BSN program @ UFV September 2014 Intake

Published

Hello,

I have just completed my application for the BSN program at UFV for the September 2014 Intake. I thought I would start this thread for anyone wanting to share their thoughts, ask some questions etc. The deadline is fast approaching! As far as I know interviews take place in March and decisions usually are done in May. I have a sister who is in fourth semester at UFV and is loving it! She found this site very helpful while going through the application process as it tends to be a long one!

In excited as well. Mine is on Friday. I don't think I'll be nervous until I'm driving to Chilliwack. I've been daydreaming/night dreaming about this day literally every single day for 2.5 years now! While I'm sure I'll be crazy nervous closer to Friday, for now, every time I think about it, I'm just filled to the brim with happiness because I managed to make it this far. 2.5 years ago I didn't think this day would ever come. And I made it this far and now the week is finally here....:D time to get serious.

Hey hey totally unrelated, but I've signed up for stats and English over the summer. How did everyone find the stats class compared to our math 11 prereq??

I have my interview on Monday, so it should be interesting! I'm actually really excited for the interview since it means I'll be one step closer to finishing my application process! Best of luck to all of you :)

Hey what time is your interview? Mine is tomorrow too !!

Hey guys,

I had my interview bright and early at 9am on last Friday with Mrs *. For LPN access to BSN applicants, we were told at the info session that Mrs. * is in charge of marking all essays and interviews. My interview lasted an hour and Mrs * was great. We chatted on topics other than interview questions and she really made me feel comfortable and that allowed me to relax and give her my best answers. Overall, I think I did well but who knows! For LPNs, we will hear back from school by April 16th on our acceptance. I felt so relieved when I was walking out of Mrs *'s office knowing that I've given my best (for the interview, not so much for my essays lol) and I slept 8 whole hours that night for tje first time in past two months :p

Good luck to all the poeple who still have their interviews and also to the people who have done their interviews! Enjoy the sun, while I head back to the land of everlasting winter! Keep me updated :)

Megan11 stats is the one elective I haven't taken yet. which one are you taking? the 104 or 106?

Haha that's a good question, I have no idea! The intro one:)

That's the one I haven't either. I will be doing it this summer also.

I want to take it, but the summer timetable kinda sucks! Good Luck to whoever has interviews today! :)

I found the interview nerve wracking! But then again i hate interviews. Hopefully I got a good score!

I'm sure you did great! Now you can sit back and wait... And catch up on hours of lost sleep! :)

Absolutely! Did anyone get stumped on some questions? My nerves wouldn't allow me to hear a few of them. Silly me.

I'll definitely catch up on sleep tonight though thank goodness!

You are your own harshest critic I'm sure you did great! Some of the questions definitely caused me to pause, and I asked a few times for her to restate the question so I wouldn't worry about it too much, I'm sure a lot of people have and will experience that to some degree Officially welcome to what I'm calling the never ending wait...because that's all we can do now!

Does anyone remember any questions out of the ordinary that I should prepare myself for? I wish I was finished like that majority of you!
