BSN program @ UFV September 2014 Intake

Hello,

I have just completed my application for the BSN program at UFV for the September 2014 Intake. I thought I would start this thread for anyone wanting to share their thoughts, ask some questions etc. The deadline is fast approaching! As far as I know interviews take place in March and decisions usually are done in May. I have a sister who is in fourth semester at UFV and is loving it! She found this site very helpful while going through the application process as it tends to be a long one!

Maybe we will be in the same class:) Abby campus?

Are any of you just freaking out waiting now? I am going insane :-o All us LPN's are going to find out next week so its just countdown mode!

Interview tomorrow!!! I'm pretty excited; been waiting for this day to come for for 2.5 years!!

Where on the website do we view our status? Does anyone know?

Sign into myufv, click New Applicant Information, Click Fall 2014 and you should see an application summary. The box "Decision" will say "under review by program" and your waiting for it to hopefully change to "conditionally accepted"

Mine was at 2:00 on that day, it was only 35 minutes or so which was much faster than I thought it would be! The woman that interviewed me, I can't remember her name for the life of me now, was really nice and was comfortable to speak to. :)

Just did my interview! It was so much easier than what I expected! My interviewer was 15 mins late and my interview was only 25-30 mins long! Haha. I would be worried, but my sis got in and her interview was 20 mins!

@Brianne17 Wow that makes me feel so much better ! My interview was on the 3rd and it was only about 30 35 minutes which really through me off since a few people were saying their interviews had been an hour. I've been really fretting over the fact that mine was so short in comparison. The interview was good. I was surprised by some of the questions they did not ask. There were a lot of questions I had prepared to answer that they never asked like why do you want to be a nurse. I was very surprised they didn't ask that !

Aww @brody6 I'm so happy that yours went well. I know they didn't ask me that either? I prepared so well for all the questions they didn't ask!! Oh well! I'm so happy to be done. :)

I agree, they didn't ask me what my strengths or weaknesses were or why I wanted to be a nurse. Mine was an hour long today but I think that's because I'm such a talker lol.
