Hello,
I have just completed my application for the BSN program at UFV for the September 2014 Intake. I thought I would start this thread for anyone wanting to share their thoughts, ask some questions etc. The deadline is fast approaching! As far as I know interviews take place in March and decisions usually are done in May. I have a sister who is in fourth semester at UFV and is loving it! She found this site very helpful while going through the application process as it tends to be a long one!
360 applicants and 96 get the information session and interviews. 48 get accepted for the fall. For those of you who got the invite for the information session and the interview does it seem surreal to any of you ? Maybe surreal is not the right word. I have my interview tomorrow, and I hope it goes well. Best of luck to the rest of students with interviews.
Goodluck! Let us know how it goes! Well prior to the info session I emailed letting them know I would be in Cali during both sessions! So she told me she will mark that down. I wasn't sure until while I was on vacation that I got an interview! So it was an exciting day for me!!! Good luck everyone. Please keep us all posted :)
Mine interview is also in the 2nd but at 10am :)
Still questioning what to wear....
I'm getting super nervous.. I know what I want to say but I just find I tend to fumble over my words and can't quite get them out right when I am nervous.
I am hoping once the interview is over I won't stress about it anymore but I know that is unlikely.
I leave on the 7th for 3 weeks in Mexico so hopefully that will deter me from overanalyzing!
How has everyone interviews gone so far?
I think my interview went well. It is hard to tell how I did. She would ask me a question and then I would respond with an answer. She had a square box for the answers. It was almost like I had to keep telling her answers, so she could fill that square box full. You pretty much have to tell her when you are done with that answer or she will just keep staring at you for more answers for the same question. Some of the answers I gave she kind of gave me a look like I had just smoked some crack before I said that. I covered it up quite well by stating and what I mean by that and then she would not her head up and down understanding what I had meant. Dodged a few bullets that way. She told me that the decision is roughly in the middle of May. It will not be ufv mail. It will be mail mail because there are people that have applied that do not even go to ufv and that is why it will be mail mail. She had also said for the people that do get rejected there will be things in the letter for what the student needs to work on. Time will tell on the decision. I look at this way. 360 applied. 96 get the info session and the interview. So that is roughly a 1 in 4 shot. 25%. Now it is down to 48 getting accepted and 48 getting rejected. So, now it is a 1 in 2 shot. 50%. I hope I get in and if I do not then I will try again. I am proud to have made it this far. Good luck to the rest of the people with interviews. Also, one last thing. Have a great time in Mexico kbevans56.
