Broward College Nursing (Starting August 2019)

Published

Hello, im a perspective nursing student seeking to enter Broward's program in August by submitting my application in May 2019. I am deathly afraid I won't get in I keep feeling as if im under qualified. I got an A in anatomy lab/lecture 1. Im finishing my Anatomy 2 I should have a A in lab come the end of this semseter (may 16th) but the lecture may be a C. Broward only accepts one attempt of each and my english grade is an AP credit so it won't be added to the equation. So far the GPA calculation is giving me 3.2 to 3.5. I'm not gonna get in aren't I? I am planning to take the HESI come 2 weeks from now (btw do they give immediate results?) and have to score an 80 so any concrete help with that would be great. I just need to know from anyones personal experience have they gotten in with a low anatomy score and whether or not I should fake get my hopes up.

I noticed the references codes for north (which i’m attending) didn’t come with a welcome letter like central and south. I read through both pertaining to what’s needed in the folders for post orientation. Question we need 3 sets of everything ?

for instance for my Cpr card you need me to make 3 copies and for the CEUFAST that required 5 courses i’d need 15 copies in total of all the certifications ?

@ndrullard

I think so. Three sets for everything. Ms. Drullard said North campus will send out the letter after registration.

I saw someone posted a picture I think about a cheap reliable place I could get my physical and shots done. Can anyone post that picture again? Also, does anyone know of any medical office that does in-house lab options so I don't have to wait forever for my results.

I don’t remember any clinic do that, only hospitals. Labcorp takes just 2 or 3 days for results. Urgent cares like CareSpot does physical for school and vaccinations but i am not sure about the price.

I am putting all my papers together to turn in at Nursing office, but somebody know what is:

Quote

Please print from Complio the confirmation page

with the four completed screening and

results that show green check marks (no flags at this time) .

I have the entire report but I am not sure is that. The first page from the report have the green check marks.

Also,

the receipt from American Data Bank that the background check is completed?

is the receipt from Daon?

I have not received my welcome letter from North, so I am just taking the example from the South and Central.

Have somebody received your emails for the second orientation?

Thank you,

I had called central and the said they want a 3 copies of everything. I’m in the same boat North hasn’t sent out a letter. So I made 3 copies of my finger print and drug receipts, my CEUcourses and of my medical physical form and all other paperwork from my Primary car doctor.

I also plan to print out 3 copies of that check mark page from complio once i’m compliant with everything. And I printed out 3 copies of my drug screening

Can anyone recommend a cheap and fast place they got they got their physicals and immunization work done? I don't have a primary care physician yet as I just moved to the area. Thank you
