Hello, im a perspective nursing student seeking to enter Broward's program in August by submitting my application in May 2019. I am deathly afraid I won't get in I keep feeling as if im under qualified. I got an A in anatomy lab/lecture 1. Im finishing my Anatomy 2 I should have a A in lab come the end of this semseter (may 16th) but the lecture may be a C. Broward only accepts one attempt of each and my english grade is an AP credit so it won't be added to the equation. So far the GPA calculation is giving me 3.2 to 3.5. I'm not gonna get in aren't I? I am planning to take the HESI come 2 weeks from now (btw do they give immediate results?) and have to score an 80 so any concrete help with that would be great. I just need to know from anyones personal experience have they gotten in with a low anatomy score and whether or not I should fake get my hopes up.

I wanna get the jump on what I need and what I need to know. Im already CPR certified, what else do I need to be aware of? Thanks in advance
You really don't need any preparation. They are going to give you all the information you need. They only thing DO NOT do any vaccines or go to the doctor before you preadmission session.
@ndrullard Is it true we can’t use the Micro Bio coats for the program. They have to have “A.S” embroidered on it ?

Correct, it has to be the warmer jacket, not this lab coat. They will go over all of that in your program orientation.
I am sorry for this silly question, I know Nicole told us about the emails will send today with the references, but I am not sure what time we can start panicking if we will not receive them. My BP is going to be high soon bc I didn’t receive anything ? and I have to work without my phone ?.

I haven't received any myself. However, I spoke with a current student and registration opens at 8am tomorrow. I have dealt with Ms Drullard before and trust me you will get that email today or later tonight. What time do you get off work?

Registration opens wednesday 8AM last day is july 10th at 4pm. Nicole will email us the reference numbers. CE courses have to get done you can do they on CEUfast. There’s a Pre Nurisng class that can be taken prior to entering the program, it’s $135 i believe they said.Due dates for registration for Central is July 18 North July 24th and South. Aug 2nd. Posts orientation is the same as the due dates depending on which campus you end up at.
Make sure you have an appointment for a physical , have your blood drawn first tho. Ummmm, Also get cracking on your drug screening and finger print. There’s paper work that we have to turn in to the nursing department after registration tho.( just copies of your CPR, CEU courses, ect.). I think that’s most of what I recall.
