Hello, im a perspective nursing student seeking to enter Broward's program in August by submitting my application in May 2019. I am deathly afraid I won't get in I keep feeling as if im under qualified. I got an A in anatomy lab/lecture 1. Im finishing my Anatomy 2 I should have a A in lab come the end of this semseter (may 16th) but the lecture may be a C. Broward only accepts one attempt of each and my english grade is an AP credit so it won't be added to the equation. So far the GPA calculation is giving me 3.2 to 3.5. I'm not gonna get in aren't I? I am planning to take the HESI come 2 weeks from now (btw do they give immediate results?) and have to score an 80 so any concrete help with that would be great. I just need to know from anyones personal experience have they gotten in with a low anatomy score and whether or not I should fake get my hopes up.

Does anyone know if the new BC part time program will be offered for Spring/Summer/FAll or just Spring 2020?

It just says Spring 2020. I think they'll probably do a trial run before offering it for other semester. Ms Drullard said to stay tune for more info. But, while waiting for the update get all your classses and test done so you can apply.

It has been rumored i’ve heard for january 2020 as well but nothing set in stone.

I understand. On the website itself, Jan 2020 is the start for the part time program. I just wondered if it will continue every starting semester, or just Fall and Spring (like MDC), or just Spring (like PBSC). Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. It's definitely too early for me in regards to me applying. I'm just starting prereqs this Fall, and taking one at a time :-). I'm also interested in PBSC and MDC part time, and I'm so glad BC has opened this option for students as well. Thanks so much for your reply.

How long did it take for the drug test to come back?

What does it mean by hepatitis series my shot record shows I got the B a long time ago but no series, I got the B titer like i was supposed to do I need to do something else about that?

There is a form to waive the Hep B on Complio. Just do that for now and you can chose to do the series later. Drug test comes back in about 3-4 days I believe.

my background took a couple days 3 or 4. That was the first thing I did bc I read that took time. The titer result will show if you are immune or not. The titer I did was Hep B surface Ab.

I will be attending Broward College Nursing program in spring 2021. I am doing all my prerequisites now. Please keep my email for future reference if you want to get rid of used books. If you have any used books from your prerequisite courses that would be awesome too!!

You guys sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders and you are doing everything to be prepared....excited for when I’ll be in your shoes. ?

When will you be applying?? I applied a couple weeks ago. I didn't expect to apply so soon, but I passed the HESI and that's all that was pending. Still have two more months to find anything out but I'm excited and hopeful. ?
