Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Published

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

I'm curious as to how many alternates were accepted the previous term

That varies.... Some terms all alternates have been accepted, other terms none were offered seats.

How are alternates determined? I feel like a lot of us had 6 points on this thread.... How is it narrowed down between people who have the same exact scores?

It was people that had a 3.09 so I am guessing even though everyone from 3.0-3.09 got 6 points they chose those that have 3.09 as alternates

Great question... I would like to know as well..

One more question. If a seat is forfeited how are the alternates selected to fill those seats?

im taking a&up 2 at Keiser, you've taken it??

At that point, we will decide what the tie breaker will be.. One step at a time.

Thank you Nichole... Good night

I think they look at the Hesi scores at that point as a tie breaker if they have the same GPA. Maybe other things too, but I am not sure. Also My question is if our applications have been moved to May, due to not being accepted this term, do we have to pay another application fee?

I had a 3.09, 92.8% HESI score, and I applied super early. I wasn't chosen as an alternate.... That's why I'm a little confused.

Wow that is really odd, I think you should email Nichole about that.
