Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

hello! I am also starting the nursing program in january of 2017. was just curious if someone made these forums yet. My english credits did not transfer so i have to retake enc1101 online, it finished august 12 so i will have plenty of time to turn in the transcript and submit application to program. as long as i get an A my gpa will be a 3.63 and i scored an 87 overall on HESI. Was EXTREMELY easy. only problem I had was with anatomy. got a 68 first time in anatomy and 92 the second time, all other sections were real easy. Do you live in broward? Im debating on moving closer to the school as my commute will be about an hour each way right now.

Hello and welcome. Yes this is the forum for the January 17' program I made it last week I believe so as we get closer we can all get through this process together. I have a 3.0 sadly hope it's enough to get in the program. I turned in my application today so the waiting begins. Your gpa is great. I'm so anxious I wish we could find out sooner.

Oh I forgot to answer the other question yes I live in Broward County hoping to go to North campus or central. What campus do you want to attend? Are you commuting from miami?

Im going to retake a class to raise my gpa up and then I'm sure I'll get into January ☺️

I spoke with Nichole and I was advised that the cut off was September 15th. Which class are you going to retake?i follow the Aug thread were you one of the ones that have the alternate seat?

I also would like to retake a class I got a C in English and it would be great if I could retake it. Based on the thread from Aug seems like anyone below a 3.1 are all alternates

I got denied actually. I have a class I got a c in that i want to retake also to raise my gpa but I was told bc doesn't allow it if you've passed the class

I think if you have a 3.0 or higher you're almost guaranteed a spot

I want to retake English also

and get a better grade in anatomy 2 if possible

I think the only option to retake the class especially if you passed is to go to another private school such as keiser. I might call them to get some info about that tomorrow. From the looks of it just by reading the forum from Aug 2016 there wasn't many applicants who got accepted that had a 3.0, but then again that's just a small portion of the 300 nursing students that got accepted so I really don't know. I just hope I get in for January. I really don't want to apply to the May program with such fast pace.
