  1. They emailed some people yesterday and said within 48 hours -_-
  2. They told someone else the reason it is taking so long is because they didn't ever start looking at them until 2 weeks after deadline, and yes I believe I got it on the 2nd
  3. Yes and now it is moved to the 10th. Check your spam mail just in case
  4. update: now it is july 10th. and I finally got my points today
  5. So this is what I saw from the Facebook page "Sooo I just got off the phone with Romero from the limited access application office and he told me that they are still processing hundreds of applications and that they will try to let us know by the beginning of next week or by July 7th..so much for finding out this week"
  6. Someone called the office and they said that they are behind and that there are no confirmation emails this time around only acceptance or denial and that we won't find out until the latest July 7th
  7. I just looked it up, we should get our points 3 to 4 weeks after the deadline. so we should know by June 22nd or june 29th I think that is also when we find out if I am not mistaking..
  8. Does anyone know when we should start seeing our points up, or has anyone been able to see the points yet?
  9. Not me yet either, I am hoping to see my points by next week, if not I will be going in and asking why they aren't showing up yet.
  10. No I think you are a shoe in you will for sure get in. I think anyone with a 24.5 or higher is more than fine. I have a 24.04 and am freaking out just a little...
  11. I am starting this thread for anyone who wants to talk about the nursing program and has any questions, or advice about getting into the program for this fall 2017. The deadline is June 1st. I am doing the CNA program right now to get an extra point on the point system for the application, and last term I also completed the Critical thinking of nursing class to get another extra point. I am really nervous I am praying to get in this term as I'm sure many of you are too. The acceptance scores for the past two terms was: 23.46 points for fall 2016, and 23.28 for spring 2017. Also I found this next score online on all nurses, I hope it is accurate, 2015 fall was 24.14. Anyways Good luck to everyone!! let me know when you guys start on our application everyone do not forget to attend an info session and if it has been over a year since you attended one you MUST attend another!! the next one is JANUARY 25TH WEDNESDAY AT 4PM. You can go to the school website and type in nursing application and the room number will be on there for the meeting location, no you do not have to RSVP you only have to show up on time there are only A LIMITED amount of seats available.
  12. overall GPA for PBSC like out of all the classes you have ever taken doesn't matter if it was pottery or music whatever lol it is all used in your GPA they just want to know you are a good student overall
  13. Pre reqs are Chemistry CHM1023, Anatomy and physiology 1 BSC2085 with the LAB and DEP2004 which is human growth and development The co-reqs, which I recommend having before you apply because it gives you more points is Anatomy 2 with lab BSC2086, Microbiology with lab MCB2010, English 1 ENC1101, Statistics STA2023, General Psychology PSY2012, and a humanities class so any fine arts or literature class, then if you take a class at the school it will give you one extra point it is called Critical thinking of nursing its NUR1024, or you can do the Patient Care assistant/CNA program and it is 3 and a half months it is done before the next nursing app is due by june 1,2017 that program is 2,000 dollars though, verses the class which is 330, but that class will take you a full term and wont be done before the program. Then comes into play your GPA, lets say you have a 3.2 you will get 3.2 points added to the application. You will also get 1 point if you have 29 credits or more, or 2 points if you have 30 or more, if you get the CNA at PBSC you will get 3 points, if you have a bachelors already you will get 4 points, masters 5, So out of all the classes I listed for anatomy 2 with lab you will recieve 3 points, micro 3 points, english I 1 point, Humanities 1 point, Psychology 1 point, and statistics 1 point. Then they calculate your HESI you have to have at least an 80 or higher on math and the cummulative. So, if you get 80-85 cummulative you get 7 points if you have 86-90 8 points, 91-95 9 points, 96-100 you get the full 10 points. You can get a total of 30, people usually get in with 22.08 or higher at Bell Glade campus. For lake worth its usually 23 or higher sometimes they will let in high 22 points but every year is different it just depends on the applicant pool. Of course it is a two year program and it costs about 7,642 for the full two years. I hope I wasn't confusing and I hope this helps.
