Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Published

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

sicilib It's only 4 weeks in length, so it's a short amount of time for so much material. As long as you have a good professor you should be fine! Aim for that A, it will make a great difference in your GPA. I retook A&P 1 during the summer at Keiser and got an A. Just make sure to dedicate time to your assignments each day of the week! :-)

I live closer to South Campus but I am looking into Central Campus. Now that I know the Hospitals for each Campus, I'm not 100% thrilled. Just because I currently work right next to Plantation hospital and it definitely is a drive. And I'm more familiar with Memorial Hospitals, plus they're a lot closer to my house. *Sigh* I also heard the nursing program at South is a bit more difficult than Central. As well as the Dean for that department.. My sister told me how everyone is extremely terrified of the Dean at south campus..

But hey it's almost HUMP DAY. Decisions should be out soon!! Some of us will be celebrating this weekend the long road we've taken for this moment :)

I'm super nervous if I get accepted I'm in between central and south as well south is so much closer but I have heard horror stories from ther but they do clinicals at memorial which is also a huge plus I have no clue ugh

I definitely want central but I am in the middle of both central and north so north would be my second option!

Im so excited/ nervous all at the same time

I am on the same boat as you in between north and central. I actually live in Miami at the moment but have plans on moving up to broward if I need to. My boyfriend actually lives in palm beach and we've been looking around but decided to wait and see where I get accepted so it won't be a drive for me. So let's see what happens. I am nervous I am excited I feel my anxiety kicking in lol I want this so bad :( I know we all do ! Good luck guys we will know between tomorrow and Friday ! í ½í¸

I thought I was set on North Campus because I live in West Palm, but I read a horror story on this forum about north campus and now I am starting to think that maybe central campus might be better

thank you! i have taken it at keiser before i am just retaking it for a better grade but this time im doing it online, i for sure am aiming for that A

i just hope this class is easier online!

I don't think I would get hang up on a certain campus. It goes by you been disciplined and willing to learn. Effort put in -you will achieve. No effort -you set yourself up for failure. Trust me. I have few people in the program at North Campus, some dropped out and others remained. I hear people say North is horrible, some say Central is horrible. Don't read into everything you see on here and hear from people. I remember taking Microbiology a few semesters back and someone told me how hard the class was and they were in the process of dropping. I wont lie, it was hard, but I studied. I got a B missed an A by a few points. So stick with your first gut.

Good Luck!!!! Maybe we will be in the same process class when we get our OK..... Optimism.

I have heard horror stories from central campus from nursing student and staff. However, I think that aslong as you work hard and are devoted to the course the horror stories we hear shouldn't be a concern.

I am once again unsure about what campus I want to go to! Now knowing which hospitals each campus does clinicals at I might just go to South campus since I also live so close to that hospital. In addition the traffic around central campus can be horrible. Decisions

lol..well the only thing is after orientation and they open up registration the campus seats are first come first serve so we don't pick whatever campus we want. At lease that's how it was previous semesters.í ¾í´”

Let me clarify :)

We will provide a date registration will open (and when it will end) at the pre-admissions session. At the time of registration YOU PICK your campus. Each campus has limited number of seats. We do not place anyone on campuses.
