Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Published

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

Okay, awesome! My nerves are getting the best of me. Thank you, Nichole, for keeping us all in the loop!

I can understand. Just wanted to make sure panic didn't set in.

If you read a little previous in the feed, I mentioned decisions would not be out early in the week; we are looking at mid to end of the week.

That's such awesome news! thank you so much Nichole :D

In general, this is how it works with the hospitals:

South Campus - Memorial Healthcare System

Central Campus- Central Broward County Hospitals (plantation, westside, cleveland clinic, etc.)

North Campus- North Broward County Hospitals (Northwest, Coral Springs, North Broward, etc.)

All campuses use Broward General.

Great hospitals!!! Wow, thank you so much Nichole. I'm sure a few people were wondering this question as well as I.

No worries! That's one of the things we touch on in pre-admissions.

I'm so excited guys in a few days we'll finally know if we're in or not! I want to again thank Nichole for keeping us updated and sane! I wish the best of luck to everyone

Ok everyone,

Until decisions are out, I will not be posting on here as frequently as I have been. Please keep these reminders in mind:

1. When decision emails are sent, they are only sent to your Broward College email address. If you do not know how to access it, you can access it through your MYBC account.

2. Once statuses start changing, please be patient. It is a manual process so until all statuses are changed, emails will not be sent out. Please do not email us asking about your status because "your friends" has changed. Emails are sent out with 24 hours of ALL the statuses being changed. Students who are being invited, and those as alternates, will receive their emails first. After that, everyone else will receive emails pertaining to their status.

3. Please be mindful of what is posted on the board, things spread like wildfire throughout the blog, especially when it comes to admissions. Vent, talk, have a good time.

4. If you have a real concern about your application, or do not see points, please email me ([email protected]). Please do not email me asking if I think you have enough points to be accepted. Every semester it is a different range for GPAs.

5. If you receive an email stating you are missing requirements, that email is NOT sent from us in Health Science Admissions. BC is implementing a new student information system. With any conversion, all information is not brought over all at once. You may receive one or more of these emails. If you have completed the requirements, simply delete the email. There is no need to come in and ask us what it means.

The email you are concerned with, as far as your status goes, is going to come from my email address (most likely).

Good luck to everyone!

Nichole

This is normal. With all of our programs we have 30 business days to make decisions.
