Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.
If you do not mind me asking why are you choosing central even though you live closer to north?
mostly because i'm more familiar with central. besides doing a lot of my pre-req's at south, central is where i've taken all my classes. i've only taken one class at north and that was several years ago. i'd rather be at a campus i know like the back of my hand. i don't want to have to take time to get to know a knew campus. i will if i have to, but i'd rather not.
plus central has the sim lab. i know the other campuses use the central campus sim lab but if i'm going to be on campus all day anyway it will be easier. i won't have to fit time in to travel to the lab.
I did not know that Central campus was the only campus to have the sim lab! I think that my sway me to choose central if I am going to have to drive there anyway. Thank you for your reasoning!
yeah central is home to the sim lab but north and south share it. all campuses have sim time. that's what i was told anyway. i can't speak for north campus but i've never seen a sim lab at south and i've looked for it.

Hi guys:
All campuses have a nursing lab.... But central.campus is home to the SIM center. All of our campuses use it.

so, what's everyone doing to prepare for January? anyone buy anything yet? i've seen so many cool things i really want to buy but since i'll be paying for nursing school out of pocket i haven't spent a penny yet. virtual window shopping is fun and sad at the same time. i just wanna buy stuff!! i already have a stethoscope, bp cuff, pen light and bandage scissors from previous jobs (used to be an MA), so i won't need those.
