Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.
Hi Amanda thank you so much for taking your time and replying, great info. I was practicing with the Hesi A2 App, if the passages are like the app, they are short and easy to understand, I'm good with main ideas and conclusionS, purpose of reading, the vocabulary part is another story LOL, but thank you so much for providing me that information...One more thing, is there any SCREEN CALCULATOR while doing Math, I've heard there is like a pop up basic calculator. Im sorry to bother you guys.
You must pass the hesi with a cummulative score of 75 or higher. When you get the scores back you will see that score in bold. They take all the scores from each section and average it.The English section is mainly stories and you have to read them and the ask you questions about the passage. If you ever taken the FCAT or SAT it is kind of like that. The words are not too hard I used a HESI A-2 study book and it helped a lot. Also it focuses more on anatomy for the science part like bones, brain, nervous system, basically know the basics to all the systems of the body. Use this website it helps ALOT Free Test Prep for the HESI exam there are practice tests, flash cards and study guides all for FREE. It helps a lot and gives you a basic outline of what you will see on the test. You only have to study the sections that Broward tests you on. Do not worry about the biology, chemistry, or the physics. They teach you a lot about grammar as well on here and reminds you about basic rules in the English language that can be tough to remember. I only speak English and I still have trouble remembering all of the rules, but this site really does help.

there is a screen calculator but the math section is still very timely. I cant speak for anyone else but the majority of the questions I had were conversion and ratio questions. you will need to memories conversion equations as most of the time they were not given.
So basically we should know no later than December if we will be a nursing student. Ok, perfect just in time to start nursing school in January í ½í¸’ I don't understand why it's such a secret to know by what week decisions will be out, and if everyone will get their pre admissions acceptance the same day - or little by little people will get an answer. It's not like we are applying to the secret service or something. Relax.

Good afternoon,
If you have read through the board, I have repeatedly said if you do not hear from us by October 15, contact us. Decisions should be out by then, most likely before that date. I have also explained how decisions are sent out. To clarify, once all statuses are changed to show either accepted, or not, an email will be sent to EVERYONE within 24 hours. Statuses are all changed the same day.
There is no need to get smart and snappy with me. We (health science admissions) do not have to post updates on the board but I do because I know what it's like to be waiting for a decision to see if you have been accepted. It is a courtesy I extend to my students. So I take time out of my day to make sure to answer questions, or correct wrong information.
I have been open and honest about the process through the ENTIRE application period. If it is not appreciated, then I will not post any more updates.

I know most of us do appreciate the fact that you do keep us informed on the process. You take the time to post even on the weekends. Thank you for all that you do.
